Could you let me know where your light switch is in the rumpus. You've got double doors like mine and to leave it at the corner means I have to close the door to get to the switch.. Also I'm having trouble deciding how many downlights I need in the living area +_=

I went last friday.. and there was... my beautifil cabinet kitchen and my gorgeous stars.. lol It's really frustrating... cause for the first time, i couldn't accecss my house!!! There were some much work done insite and I couldnt see it.. Well... I decided to call the SS today... and I got some news. Today or tomorrow we'll receive the Lockup and fitout invoices... as these guys were working during the weekend.. (very impressive) I'm sooo happy and nervious !!! this is a very critical part of the process.. from here the waiting period became very challenging!!! lol In the order hands... I'll start paying almost the 90% + rent.. OMG..!!! I can't stop looking at the numbers..!!!
Well guys.. I'm getting close... and is bit scary!!
I couldn't get a PCI day... !!! something between Jun-July!!!

Coco, thats great! Being a 2 story home its usually about 12 weeks after lockup that you will have PCI.
We have our PCI tomorrow morning, the painters were fixing all the issues we found with the building inspector yesterday and plumbers in fixing shower dumper placement and powder room waste pipe saturday.

Congrats CBPH and Cocosette on the progress of your builds! it's very reassuring to hear from happy clients of CH (not that I don't welcome "not so happy" news... i'm as keen to hear about these too, if any)
Btw, anyone who can share the details of their recommended building inspector? we're planning to get one for our build as well. Thanks.

Yes, that is a great post ... I also need an Inspector for my PCI... so, any suggestions? I don't want to use the same inspector again.

We have a few structural changes such as 1.4m garage extension, solid wall instead of open wall to rumpus which will be our theatre room, and wall in family to be same as display house minus the fireplace provision.
Our site start is set on April 13th

im building a Topaz 33 (now renamed Camden with afew changes) with carslile
building hasnt started yet but will start in about a week or so
i have found carlisle to be fantastic so far. When it came to colour appointment they reminded us of things that we should include that we forgot. They have been very prompt in returning our calls ect
i will post updates during the building stage and let ppl know what i think of them
one huge thing i love about them is they let me make the house the way i wanted it. I extended the shower in the ensuite to 1Mx1.5m. Moved afew walls. made the fridge space big enough for our wider fridge and the main thing they did was let me use 600x600 tiles on the floor which it stated in my contract i wasnt ment to have but being a tiler myself i said i wouldnt go anything small than 600x600 tiles. Alot of other builders wouldnt let ya do any changes

good luck on your build! am also building a double-storey and will check your updates here.. by the way, if you won't mind sharing, any reason for going with 600x600 tiles other than aesthetic reasons? i'm just curious to hear it from a tiler ... we are not particular with floor tiles but all our floor tiles are upgraded to 300x600 since it's only additional labor cost for a t-range house.
