wow, I can't believe they're doing such a good job then when it's all going to be rendered!!!!
Can't wait to see it on Sunday. . . yay! Day out!!!
Only the front portico will be rendered, everywhere else is facebrick. I just said to Sunshine tonight, I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone on Sunday and showing them my house, cause I know everyone will say its great and that will make me feel good and hopefully help me start to enjoy this build again
Well I hope you lose too! We did have a lull in there because of our door.
I agree with Jodge, it does look neat. Mine is too so I'm really happy.
Yeah, I dont htink they started the front cause we have been waiting on the new window, but that was installed on Monday, so luckily it didnt hold us up
Gogo. . . actually, I typed "Gog". . . so I might just call you that from now on in (old laptop, some of the keys stick. .. delete key is missing in action).
If you don't start enjoying this build before Sunday. . . we'll be having words. . . OK?????
Hi Gogo!!! I've only just skim read the last couple of pages but the bricks look great! Sorry you aren't enjoying the build at the moment - I know how that feels.
Oh Bel, Thank you for your kind words, but makes me feel like a spoilt brat After everything you have been through and then I whinge about about my brickies, puts things into perspctive. I know we arent allowed to ask but I do hope things are starting to look up on your end

I definately believe you jodge!!! and gogo, your home is definately bigger than mine... I only have high ceilings in living/dining - you have them everywhere.... I am the younger, smaller twin!!
I would've loved to have been there but instead I can look forward to visiting one day when you have that fantastic pool all done... I'm coming for a dip.... how is the pool, by the way??
Pool has been approved Just waiting for the scaffold to come down then they will dig the hole, hopefully early April.

THANK YOU for opening your house to complete strangers!!! it is so good to now be able to see it in our heads...in 3 D. (it is ginnnnooooooormous) It was good to meet steve and sarah too and see their home and willcres and lot 13..their dirt!! slab dance soon I hope. Gogos mates turned up and he took a group shot of us all on her alfresco, then onto sunshine T's home with frames and lovely bush views, and her gorgeous family, and Ryan and her daughter kate came, and loretta and dee, and carmel and another lovely family who had built with zen before and jodge who has already built as had mrs rose and her hubby and son who have also moved in, and of course moi, who gatecrashed the whole aussie build thing, cos I built in nz! and to drive in convoy around sydney was so blues brothers!! thank you, you are my hero
1. kiwi - YOU, my dear, are the hero. For (a) inspiring the gathering, and (b) doing all that bl00dy driving yesterday!!! We really should have planned that better. If I'd known we weren't going for coffee afterwards then I would have definitely brought cake and drinks to my site (especially as it was not exactly 'en route').
2. gogo - sorry, but yes, your house is GIGANTIC! And you know it. wiggle wiggle wiggle. 53 squares and 20ft ceilings say it all. It's going to be beautiful. I am now officially naming my house 'The Dollshouse'. DH laughed when he heard your estate has a minimum living area requirement of 300sqm. We have a maximum FSR for living of 262sqm (our original plans had 275 but Council knocked us, so we squeezed in with 261.5sqm. it's coz we are in a Scenic Protection Zone thingy, so must have more lawn / landscaping etc. Worked out the numbers with jodge yesterday, and our total place - including garage and patios etc = 39 squares).
I am so coming out for another visit in a month or so. This time I will get the turn off so I don't miss out on the bottom floor tour.
scgia - I tried to drive past your place (with directions from gogo) but couldn't see it. Let's arrange something for a month or so (is there an echo?).
