This is our ensuite layout, except the bath has been moved up into the corner instead of centred. I wanted room at the end of the bath to hide the laundry hamper behind the door! [ img ]

we have a bath and sep shower in our ensuite too..I LOVE IT it is our bath, and we get to look at it every day and not the kids (they hardly go in it anyway..they are older and have their own showers)
I liked your comment about anxious now. YOU ARE NORMAL..yay
everyone gets weird about 2 - 3 weeks before the end. Not sure why... maybe it is the stress leaving. anyway, for the next few weeks, dont worry, and dont worry about the worry. (or the tears) or the 'what if this now goes wrong, what if council dont pass it, what if.................?" are we really about to move?? etc etc
it is what happens, freak out....enjoy it, tell hubby so he is pre warned, and enjoy this last little bit. it is like the push part of labour...when you actually want to go home cos it is 'too hard' but everyone is going, you are so close..come on, you can do it

Thanks Kiwi, I find that strangely comforting, cake and all! Nice to know in the world of H1 I am normal. Thanks for the link to your thread, would you believe I have read through most of it, but never commented! Well, I may have ch eated and skimmed through in parts, but I am nearly there! When I catch up I will post, maybe I will get a prize or something.
Been following your pilates thread too (stalker allert) and finding it really inspiring and motivating! Mostly I just read through it in my lunch break at work so can't comment. If I get involved maybe that will motivate me a bit more. Gotta be sexy to suit my new house!
So I will try and keep the crazy in check until move in day. DH prob wouldn't notice it as anything above and beyond my usual nutiness. I haven't had any external meltdowns yet, mostly just that yucky feeling that something is wrong but can't put my finger on it.
Can't be worse than our neighbours across the road. Their house has been finished since November and they still haven't moved in! They live in the shed next to it. So there is this perfectly good brand new house just sitting there empty while they are living it up in a tin shed. Now that is a case of building anti-climax right there! They reckon they don't want to move in until they get the grass growing and the retaining wall done, but they haven't even started it. Strange.

Thanks greenfish, hang in there, it will all start moving along for you once the frames are up! Lightening speed until lock up, then it all feels slow again. Good luck!

and you want out!
have fun, enjoy and your benches sound fantastic.
+1 with that feeling too! Your explanation Kiwi really does sum it all up - despite all the excitement we've had in how quickly the finish line has come for us, I have had this weird feeling that I couldn't quite put my finger on - but yep, you have described it perfectly!
Btw BW - I love the layout of your ensuite!!! Even though DH loves a bath, he couldn't be convinced to have one in our ensuite!!

I think the usual dry hot winds you normally have decided to come to WA, just as the trucks started coming to my place the wind built up and blew all night and the next day, they had to hose down as they compacted it, the neighbours farm got a top dressing.
Mmmm bit concerned abut the weird about 2-3 weeks before they move in..... I'm feeling that way now and they have only just started the groundwork. But I think that is the concern about the colors and will the dogs or cows ect. tread on the slab

thank you for your kind words...I think!?? stalkers are good....I probably have a few and dont know it
I didnt know you had seen my thread (skimming is good, there was a LOT of chit chat lol) and my pilates one has motivated me to stop eating rubbish. I think once the cravings go, cos you are feeding your body, you can refuse the junk much easier cos you dont want it, it is when you are desperate for it, that you HAVE to have it.
anyway, I am chit chatting again,.....
it is an anxiety that goes up a level near the end, and for no real reason other than maybe we are secretly sad it is coming to an end... and you are completely mentally exhausted, and also thinking where will I go now, instead of 'going to see the house' what will I think about now I dont have to 'think about colours' etc
and excited, you think you are freaked now, wait till you are just about to move in and you will go...'oh yes, here it is..that level of antz I didnt realise I could feel!!'
all the best to both builds.
and eiffel...looking forward to meetin THIS MONTH!!

Should I be scared?
Maybe I don't want a prize after all!
Eiffel, good to see you are normal too and feeling the anxiety! I think it will take a while until we are sitting around scratching our heads and wondering what we will do to fill in the extra time. We have a tonne of landscaping to do, not to mention all the interior decorating! I'm looking forward to all that actually, it's hard to do a plan for the landscaping until we are there and see where we need deciduous trees for summer shading and all of that. Have to get the angles just right! We have some feature walls and stuff to do too, as well as painting the theatre room a dark colour. Also considering maybe cladding the fireplace in stack stone to warm up our living area a bit and break up all the white. The list just keeps growing!
Excited, hopefully your slab will be laid without any cow or chook incidents And if there happens to be an incident, hopefully they get out before the concrete sets! Not the kind of feature you want in the middle of your living room
I went out to the house today to see the carpenters, and the painters were in already!! When DH gets home from work this afternoon we are going out for a sticky! He has been away for 2 weeks so he hasn't even seen the kitchen or the tiles grouted or anything so he's keen for a look. If it's not too dark I will take a few pics.

All looking wonderful Jess! Kitchen is looking great, are you still having a purple splashback! I hope so, I've been looking foward to seeing it! Laundry is looking very glamarous too (Didn't think that was possible really hahaha) I can't believe you are up to painting already, that time seems to have flown by, well for me anyway it probably hasn't for you guys!!
I know I've said it before but you are in the most gorgeous spot, it all looks so green & lush. Your house really fits in well with your external colour selections too
And, my door has finally arrived! Can't see it, but it is here, nicely protected between these sheets of ply. It has since been hung... will try and get the pic off my phone from today. [ img ]
Painting is half way done too, and it's looking great!! I love my house

As long as it is a picture FOR my entry and not OF it, everything will be sweet.
Yeah maybe the E cup thing was a bit of an overshare, but thought it was relevant somehow in explaining my body type. I don't think I am a type actually, kind of a one off. Picture 5 foot dwarf with excessive rackage.
