KITCHEN IS IN!!
I went out today to have a look because the suspence was killing me and I couldn't wait for next weekend for DH to be home. I took a few photos on my camera, but then it died! I can't even get it to turn on now, so I'm waiting for the battery to charge. Lucky I had my phone so I took a few rough pics with it. These ones are not very good, but you get the idea! The 2 pac is flawless, I love it! And the soft closers are awesome. The overheads are all push to open. The stonemason must have been out to measure up for the bench tops too, there was a business card on the cabinet. [ img ] [ img ]
Laundry cabinets are in, they look great! I love the Ash Zebrano. It was a bit hard to get a good photo with all the light coming in through the glass door. [ img ] [ img ]
All the tiling has been grouted too, including the main floor tiles. They look unreal! So happy with how it has all turned out. I can't wait to see it all cleaned up. Our lottery with the grout colour turned out that we have white grout all round, walls and floors. Might have to seal it... But it looks so bright and fresh! I am in love with it all. Main bathroom: [ img ] [ img ]
Love love LOVE my feature tiles in the niche They look even better now that they are grouted. I'm really impressed with the work of the tiler. Haven't picked up on any rough bits at all yet, although it was hard to have a good look with master trouble running around the place and getting into everything
The external concreting has finally been done, driveway, porch and alfresco. [ img ] [ img ] [ img ]
And our water tank has been delivered... [ img ] (not staying there obviously) Geez its a bit ugly! Might have to wrap it in chicken wire and grow some vines up it
I will try and get my camera going and put up the good pics of the kitchen. It looks pretty boring without benchtops and splashback anyway. BUT I LOVE IT

Thanks Eiffel No move in date yet, although we haven't really asked. We aren't in a big hurry, but we would love to be in by easter. We have a really busy couple of months coming up with other commitments and I can see that it will all end up happening at once
What about you, any mention of dates? Heading over to stalk your thread now

Crazy busy sounds promising
We haven't spoken to our SS this week, but I'm assuming the painters will be in next. I really can't beleive we will be living there soon! I must admit when I saw my ensuite today I wanted to move in then and there! I've never had an ensuite before... or a dishwasher, or WIP! I can't even decide what I am looking forward to most
Uploading photos is a mammoth effort, especially with small children! I have to make sure I am all organised any settled in before I even start trying to load stuff up to photobucket. -Toddler in bed- CHECK! -Coffee made- CHECK! -Nothing fabulous on TV I am missing out on- CHECK!
Meanwhile, I am supposed to be ironing and getting everything ready for work tomorrow

what a neat job they have done with the tiles, the bath matches the floor grout..nice
kitchen looks yummy, you must be so pleased. I can hear your happiness in your writing. YAY!!!
I know, right! They all line up really well. Except the white ones but I don't mind about that because you can hardly see the grout lines. But there are no bits that I look at and think, "that looks stupid, why did they do it like that?".
Kitchen looks so good, I just wanted to touch it all. Master 2 DID touch it all Tiny hand prints on everything, and tiny foot prints all through the house in the newly grouted tiles! No hiding we were there for a sticky beak.
Oh well, if they don't want us in there maybe they should get us to lock up!

I love your colours! Particularly the laundry colours...very very nice! You must be so pleased!!! I also love the contrastiing grout in the bathrooms...we went the matching grout to the tile, and we have since seen many display homes with the dark tile and white grout and it just looks so nice...something special! oh well, we live and learn!!!
Congrats on how your place is looking!

Thanks The Vans, and welcome to my thread I'm loving my laundry, what a nerd I didn't actually ask for the white grout on the floor, so it was a nice surprise! I think I will grow to hate it once the inevitable happens and it is no longer white. I was already stressing when I went there today and the white grout lines on the porcelain tiles were all dirty and muddy. They are 600x600, surely they can walk on them without walking all over the grout lines

Thanks Mclaren, very excited indeed! I decided the other day after grocery shopping with a toddler in the rain that I will be very happy to have an attached garage right outside the kitchen! I currently carry my shopping from the downstairs seperate garage, through the yard, up 10 steps, and all the way to the back of the house

Your block is so green, its very different to WA
Thanks Excited, I love my ensuite. Originally the plan didn't have a bath but I just had to have one! It's really hard to take a photo of the ensuite because of the layout. Everything is really green here this summer. Record rainfall and none of the usual dry hot winds. We are working really hard to establish grass around the place. We still feel silly mowing it, it's a very sorry excuse for lawn, but it will get there with all the love we are giving it!

Great progress there. Its starting to come along very nicely... You must be happy
Thanks Tan, very happy little camper Recognise the internal doors?
News this week... I went out to the house today to let the electrician into our shed (they are doing a cashy & wiring an independant curcuit board in) and then back out again this afternoon to make sure they locked up. I went for a quick look in the house, no photos cause I left DS in the car so he wouldn't get dirty!
I found.... the stone tops are in! I am in love! They look like they have done a really good job, the joins on the waterfall ends look flawless to me! Only problem is some messy bugger has spilt orange softdrink all over the benchtop and just left it there to go all sticky
Also, the vanities have been installed The ensuite looks good, nice and simple white, like my kitchen. The main bathroom looks great too, love my Fudge Stream Only problem is, they have installed the wrong vanity! It is meant to be wall hung, but they have ordered a floor mounted one. It still looks ok, but I want it changed over. I will have to talk to the SS about it tomorrow.
DH spoke to him yesterday and found out the painters should be starting on Monday too! Which is great, but means we probably wont be able to get in and sticky beak next week I will go out on Saturday with DH and get some photos of my lovely benchtops before the painters cover it all up.
Still plenty to be done, but it's getting real now. I must be honest and say I am a little bit anxious about it all for some silly reason. I almost feel like I'm scared to move in there!
