SCORE!

What an amazing site sales woman! Crikey. . . wish we'd had one of them when we built. Bet you can't wait to see piccies of your site cut. . . Loretta and I can't wait to see them either. . . WE LOVE PICCIES!

Ahh Loretta. . . we can build vicariously through Brad! I'm sure we would have both chosen Bazdaric if we'd had the extra $100K in moolah ly!ng around! hahaha

We will have more updates this afternoon as we have family that work down the street. But unfortunately it will only be verbal updates as we weren't expecting this to happen until tomorrow and there will be no camera handy :(

Hopefully we don't miss out getting pics of to much of the build. I want to photograph as much of it as i can!!!!!

Some pics which were taken this afternoon. I couldn't help myself and took the 2 hour round trip to check it all out and the cleared land looks absolutely huge!!!! I hope we don't have to much work to do levelling the land on the dead side of the house, it should be alright.

Wow Brad. . . that's a very non-slopey block you have there. . . maybe we'll move out to Wilton too. . . I've had enough of living on the side of a cliff!

Now that you've added photos, Phil and I will be able to go and stalk your block. . . so we may even put up a photo or two for you if we get out there at any time soon. . . it's not so far for us!

If you arrive one day to find some strangers wandering around on your slab. . . could be us (or maybe Loretta). . . hahaha!

Congratulations, it's onwards and upwards!

That's why we picked it ;) There has been a bit more cut and fill than i thought but nowhere near as much as some

If ever you see a black car turn up and give you weird looks let me know its you hehe

And feel free to post up picks, being 85klms away makes it hard to get live updates :( We will get one visit a week, wished we had time for more though!!!!

I don't expect any pics trust me.

We will be down there tomorrow to see just how good it looks during the day. Our last visit was at 8.30 so it was a bit dark to see exactly what it looks like

I will hopefully get some more pics up tomorrow

Petar will be down at the block Monday morning to mark out the house in preparation for the piering. Piering is due to be done next Tuesday now, weather permitting.

Once the piering has been done its all hands on deck for the slab as our frame gets delivered on the 5th March, which is just over a week away now :D Windows are scheduled to be delivered on the 9th so its going to move ahead in leaps and bounds.

Then i am sure its going to appear to slow down considerably as all the bulky bits are completed.

Pics to come soon :P

We cant wait, but i am kind of dreading it to some degree as i know its going to move so fast in the first few weeks and then its going to feel like time is standing still lol

Roof tiles was easy as the only colour the tiles come in is charcoal grey, the same as the previous picture of the house. Paint colours, not yet, and its doing our head in. 35 odd sample pits later and we still are not sure. Tiling is all done though

Haha, it is exciting in the first few weeks, to see the shell going together, but the interior stuff is where the fun is at. . . The individual rooms start taking shape, fix out, doors, paint, KITCHEN YAY! I want to do it again! Am I just remembering all the good things?

Piccies?

Hi Brad... :D

I've looked over your thread, stolen pics and saved them to a worksheet for you on my computer. Now all you have to do is keep posting on this thread so I can see what you are doing and if you have any questions for me.

I've saved all your chosen colours as well, would you like me to start looking for a render colour for you?

I'm on holidays at the moment so now is the best time to grab me.

Also are you having the stone features on your house like in the pics?

Hi Michelle

Thanks again ;)

With regard to render colour Petar (Bazdaric Homes owner) has painted his display home Dulux Paperbark. We find this colour a little yellow and we were thinking more along the lines of something a little more beige, but we are open to your ideas.

We will be having the stone fitted as we feel this really makes the facade look a lot nicer.

All external timber doors we would like to have stained as per the picture above. There are numerous cedar doors that are fitted to the inside of the house that we are also going to have stained (master bedroom door, study doors, the doorway from the room marked 'entry' to the dining).

What we really need guidance on is interior colours. Ceiling, skirting boards, architraves and remaining interior doors will be white, and we were thinking of a grey colour scheme for the rest of the house (will this clash with the external colour?). We wanted to go quite dark on the theatre room. Some of the colours we have already considered/struggling with are below. Our builder uses Dulux paints and we are allowed 4 internal paint colours, and would like only one external colour

interior walls (previously considering grey pebble, brume)
media room (previously considering charcoal light but seems a bit brown looking?)
possibly a feature wall colour?
feature ideas (colour/tile or stone) for the fireplace wall in the living room
colour for kitchen cabinets (shaker style doors)
ceasarstone bench colour suggestions
bathroom vanity/laundry cabinetry and bench top colour suggestions (i need to get you some photos of the tiles)

If you would like some pics of the inside of the house i can post some up so you have an idea on what we are referring to.

Brad- I saw Loretta's ( JohhnyD on the forum) house on the weekend and she has grey pebble as her main interior colour. I usually am not a fan of grey-but loved her house! ::lol::
