Your home looks great Southies! My wife and I recently just put a deposit down for the Cremorne 41 and we're building in Harrington Grove. Just looking at your facade, how much was it for the design and the extras (paving, tiles etc?) Thanks! You can't even find to buy hellebores in Perth in our nurseries... maybe some specialised places might sell them but never found them at mainstream nurseries - same with quite a few other plants like Alliums, heucheras, certain euphorbias, peonies, etc. I'm assuming that the sun here is so harsh that they don't survive. I remembered that you planted a murraya hedge, so was wondering how big it is now and are you happy with the spacing. I have just planted a row of them to eventually screen out the neighbour, but am thinking I planted them too close (about 1m). I don't want a close-knit hedge, I just want them to be able to screen out (without holes) once they are about 2m high. Actually, did you plant more than one murraya hedge? My signature is distracting people from my wise posts ... Ours are 40cm apart - we wanted privacy, for obvious reasons. Quote: Actually, did you plant more than one murraya hedge? Since then, I've gotten lazy but did do it again 2 weeks ago. We haven't watered much either , but I think the hedge would have grown much faster if it had regular water.
