YAY!! 364Aug 31, 2011 8:12 am Connections.... Don't get me started. Gas, took 3 weeks. Electricity has taken waaaaay longer. Electricity went like this: 5 wks ago, acknowledged power needed to be reconnected from temp power pole. Party "a" said application was in, must wait 20business days. 3 weeks on, 1 asked how connection was going. Oops! Party "a" forgot to submit. Forms now submitted. 1 wk later I follow up with 0r1g1n, oops... Wrong forms submitted by party "a". Party "b" takes over, says emergency connection authorized on Monday, connection by hand over. Hand over takes place at 2pm. Party "b" ensures me connection by 5pm that day. 5:30pm, no connection - call 0r1g1n "please call back during office hours...". blah!! Call J3m3na - no forms submitted!!!! Farrrrk!!! Monday morning - call 0r1g1n - forms submitted by party "b" at 2pm on FRIDAY!!! Sneeky bastards.... Connection will take 5-10 business days..... Me = emotional mess! +el5tra... B1, you ready??? Call telstra 3 wks ago, to move services. I say I require trenching, new connection ect. Man tells me telstra now do trenching - costs will be 299 for trenching/new connection and 59$ move fee. I say sure... I am told that to stay with +el5tra I needed to sign a new 24 mt contract.... Umm....anyway. He looks up my address, tells me it's an active connection - that I don't need trenching. I say, we knocked the house down - it's a new house. He argues BLack and blue - I argue back and blue - anyway, he says it will be up to the tech, and to be home from 8-12. I stay home, no one comes.... 12 o'clock comes - I call telstra. They say "yup! Connection active! Try picking up the phone and make a call...." I laughed soooo hard!!! Anyway - lucky the girl who I called was switched on and has fixed everything up, but no Internet for at least 3 weeks... Some people, hey??? Were off contract in November. Will get a BOB then I think.... Never easy, hey!!! On my iPhone - please ignore typos.... Hate predicitve text!!! PCI TOMORROW!! YAY!! 365Aug 31, 2011 8:27 am Hahaha.. what a mess, AV. And here I was thinking once handover's done, everything goes smooth . Cl@rndn's already got me to sign the form to transfer electricity. So hopefully they tale care of that bit. And I dont think I will see telephone-internet for a while cos of the ongoing Telstra-NBN saga. Well, at least you are in your OWN house now. Time to start decorating and posting the pics ( once the internet's connected ) Good luck mate! Our Oxford 28 with Cl@rndn - Vic. PCI TOMORROW!! YAY!! 366Sep 06, 2011 12:34 am Congratulations AV! A few iphone pics ;o) 371Sep 14, 2011 9:03 pm . yeah, we are pretty much buying everything from Focuson ( except for the bed maybe ). Wifey and me fell in love with this couch package. already selected what we are after. waiting for Boxing day sale..hehe..by that time our housie shud be all done. yeah, it went lightning fast initially and it has been at this 'frame' stage for almost 3 weeks now. Builder's inspector + my inspector found a few issues with frame. the one around the garage is a bit of worry. hopefully it gets an all clear soon. I havent made the frame payment yet..holding it back till they fix everything. Re: Our Oxford 28 with Cl@rndn - Vic. Don't look too bad even if I do say so myself! In photos it looks a little repeatative, but you really don't notice that to the naked eye. Pretty good for a standard inclusion. ;o) Amazing_Venice [size=50]Signed: 31/07/10 Colour Appointment: 08/09/10 Deposit Tender 20 / 09 / 2010 Final Contract Signed 18 / 11 / 2010 Slab laid 02 / 2 / 2011 Frame completed 25 / 02 / 2011 viewtopic.php?f=31&t=37417&p=553032&hilit=oxford#p553032 Re: Our Oxford 28 with Cl@rndn - Vic. Only flaw I would say (this goes for all floating floors) is that thru the day you can see every little foot print and crumb. At night though they can be filthy and you can't see a thing!!!
