Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Who's building with Clarendon? 44Jun 22, 2011 1:02 pm This is a great site I get heaps better answers here than out of the sales reps Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 48Jul 25, 2011 7:47 pm rjg Slab done end of last week Excellent!! Been away so haven't checked to see what's been going on. We had our tender appointment today, building a modified Byron. Someone asked about the floor space ratio. Ours was in our tender document as well as the landscape ratio. Tender seemed to go ok only a few errors and omissions. We have a 1m fall from back to front on our block. So on top of the standard site cost of 18.5k we have an additional 18k including the 8k privilege of building in the Shire, provisional allowances of 19k and about 84k of variations. All good so far even though I don't like some of the costings that's the way it is, take it or leave it. So provided they can fix up the tender document we will move onto the next stage. Cheers. Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 50Aug 03, 2011 11:20 pm Haven't been posting of late - so here's my update.. I pretty much only get to see things on the weekend/s. I am very suprised how fast things happen. We went from slab > external plumbing > first floor frame complete in 1.5 weeks. Very exciting times, Clarendon seem to be motoring when the sun is out. I am sure that they want to get the first 3 payments as soon as they can. Payments need to be made withina week - which has been good. Very happy with Clarendon to date. I also got a PA sum back - $1.2K or something (out of a $5K total PA). It will be credited back at the end. Make sure that you have everything done before you sign - any changes past this cost you $500 admin fee. I haven't made any but have thought abt it. In the next week, I expect the 2nd floor framing to be finished + the start of the tiling/bricking, I think.. Our site costs were similar. A lot of Clarendonites in the Shire I see (including us). Let me know if you need help with upgrade costs - I can help (PM me). Cheers Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 55Aug 08, 2011 9:28 am So far we've moved very fast:
Cut & Fill 6/7/2011 Piering 9/7/2011 Waffle Pods 13/7/2011 Slab Poured 16/7/2011 Torrential Downpour for 1 week - lucky us as it allowed curing time. Installation of Underground Tanks - 7500L (I think) 29/7/2011 Framing Started 30/7/2011 Framing L2 Almost Finished 6/8/2011 Framing Roof - Expected by the end of week Plumbing Rough in - Expected by the end of week I think we're quite lucky as we have another Clarendon being nuilt around the corner; and we're just behind them. So far, it's worked really well as they are trying to use the same guys for our job - so as soon as they finish a part of the job, the tradies come to our house. E.g. framing and 1st level bricks down for them. by the end of the next 2 weeks, we'd be ready for bricks. regards RjG Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 56Aug 08, 2011 9:34 am gav2233 Cut and Fill 05 Feb 2011 Slab installed 14 Feb 2011 Framing Starts 20 Feb 2011 Frames completed 26 Feb 2011 Bricklaying Starts 30 Mar 2011 Bricklaying finished 10 May 2011 Upper roof tiles 27 May 2011 Lower roof tiles 27 June 2011 Lock up 22 July 2011 Hope the time line helps, its a slow process. gav2233 Did they install underground tanks for you? Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 60Aug 16, 2011 11:37 am Guys; On the weekend, I noticed that there was a dent in one of my alfresco door frames. How do they fix that sort of stuff? Do they just bend it back into shape? It's pretty small - but I think it will stop the door from closing. I am sure they'll bend it back, but just wanted to ask anyways! regards RjG It is Genneral stairs, but they won't deal with anyone off the street. They will only work with clients of project home builders. I tried to but some of these exact… 3 7857 The two 15mm holes are obviously not compliant. The Dept of Fair Trading would love to see this one! Do the gutters pool water after it stops raining? Although it's… 4 8316 I do enjoy the drama:-D In his latest two videos he has started bringing security guards to site, I am waiting for the punch on to begin lol 6 46107 |
