Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Snaggers Home - SETTLEMENT!!!! 85Apr 21, 2011 2:22 pm Bonnie31 I like your colour selections.... the border tiles for the bathroom will look very classy... I like your kitchen colours too... love the splashback.....looking forward to following your build thread... I just love reading all these threads. Dalyellup is a very popular place to live and everyone i know who lives in the estate loves it! hope you do too. I am building an investment house in Busselton, Provence, this is a Satterley Estate aswell. I've heard of Provence, but haven't actually been there. Sounds idyllic though. Good luck with your investment build. On slightly different news, I got a phone call a little earlier on - My land has Settled!!!! Full steam ahead now hopefully. Just got to look over and sign the plans when I get back (assuming they're correct of course) and that should be the last bit of paperwork taken care of for a while! Fun times ahead!! Re: Snaggers Home - PRESTART VARIATIONS LISTED 86Apr 21, 2011 2:23 pm That's good news just before the long weekend now you can start motoring!! Re: Snaggers Home - SETTLEMENT!!!!! 88Apr 21, 2011 9:59 pm I really like your house plan - your living area is similiar to ours With your couches, which I really like, did you know that you can ask the furniture place to get them Scoth Guarded? We bought fabric chaises for our HT (similiar to your cushion fabric I think?) and were charge $200 for 4 - its a 5 year warranty on stains from anything, tears etc If they cant get rid of it (if it doe actually stain or rip) than they replace it. My thoughts exactly Bam I really like your house plan - your living area is similiar to ours With your couches, which I really like, did you know that you can ask the furniture place to get them Scoth Guarded? They offered me that and I thought it sounded like a wise option. And didn't mind paying the extra couple of hundred as they'd just knocked a larger amount off the price so was still cheaper than RRP Might be a wise choice for my first house/Bachelor pad Re: Snaggers Home - SETTLEMENT!!!!! 91Apr 22, 2011 5:06 pm Bonnie31 Congratulations on your settlement!!! whoop whoop!! We signed our last lot of papers last week so we should be around the same time frame... Congrats to you too. The only papers I've got left to sign of much significance are the final drawings with variations included. Should be waiting for me when I get home next thursday! Re: Snaggers Home - The Shire Has Approved!!!! 92May 05, 2011 3:35 pm Well, I do believe this is a post worthy development. Today I received a phone call from one of the lovely ladies at HBC telling me that the Shire Approval came through with no extra conditions and that the house will now be going to a Start. She said construction will start in 3 - 4 weeks but will call me back with more info about the schedule when they have one! Let the fun begin!!!! Re: Snaggers Home - Shire Approval Received!!!!! 94May 05, 2011 4:06 pm Also, I made a cppl of small variations before signing off on the Final Plans (which I will get up eventually!) which saw the Dining and Kitchen lights linked with a 2 way switch and a 2 way switch added to the Family Room lights. Total Variations cost was $17462. Must extand thanks to my folks for being able to foot the initial bill and letting me pay them back on that one. Couldn't ask for better parents! Re: Snaggers Home - Shire Approval Received!!!!! 95May 05, 2011 4:20 pm You will be so glad you added the two-way switches - we did too! Such a little thing but very satisfying when you don't have to walk back down the hall to turn the light off! Yay for your parents - lucky you!
