Re: Used appliances in new house 9Apr 20, 2011 1:27 pm neil_se Well I bought a Bosch dishwasher on Ebay today, RRP is $1700 and I got it for $775 with warranty until 2014 so that was a no brainer. I'm just waiting on some hi res pictures of the St George freestanding cooker before we make a decision on it, it ends in 5 days so I won't have a chance to get to the Gold Coast and have a look before it ends. Bonus! Im also after a bosch dishwasher. Who did ytou buy it off? Personally I find it funny that most people will be very quick to complain about the cost of something like a higher end oven yet they aren't prepared to source a cheaper unit first then upgrade later. We were going to use our old oven initially, but it completely packed it in a week before we knocked down so we just flipped for the new one now. I think if you had the appliances (like from a knock down re build) it would be financially viable but if you had to purchase second hand stuff it might not work out as cheap as you want. So long as you are happy with the look of your appliances and house over all, don't worry what any one else wants.
