Possibly a beige or darker. I have samples of popular grout colours from Ardex/Dunlop who make premium grouts. Here's one that would go well with the average brown tile.... Ardex FG8, colour 280 Havana Also, suggest you keep grout joints to as narrow as your tiler can do with your tiles. Ash. Re: Brown tiles with contrasting grout pics please.. 9Jul 21, 2009 6:31 pm Hi Tillie, Our main bathroom, toilet & laundry are tiled in a chocolate brown and the grout matches nearly exactly (think it might've been called espresso?) . I love this look and it is SO easy to keep clean. Here are some pics. I have also included one of the ensuite where the tile is lighter; I matched the grout as close as I could and ended up with a light grey colour; it's not exact but blends in pretty well I think. In this first photo; notice the tiles on the side of the bath. There was too much builder's dust in the grout in the floor ones to show the true colour, it's actually much darker. Re: Brown tiles with contrasting grout pics please.. 10Jul 22, 2009 11:37 am Thanks royalblue and donuts for your replies they are greatly appreciated I think it shall be safer to match the grout or just a shade lighter as suggested as I really do not want it to stand out and be a feature if that makes sense?? Thanks again for posting pics Donuts Re: Brown tiles with contrasting grout pics please.. 12Jul 23, 2009 9:05 pm Thanks SuH I appreciate your advice and this is what I will be asking for Re: Brown tiles with contrasting grout pics please.. 13Jul 23, 2009 9:17 pm this isnt the best pic we have brown and white tiles http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn99/MissyTJ76/Tags/house0514.jpg?t=1248347736 John, Tarin and the Kids Built and moving in to the Regent Grande with Masterton homes http://thebrownsaremovingtothecountry.blogspot.com Re: Brown tiles with contrasting grout pics please.. 14Jul 24, 2009 6:30 pm Thanks for posting the pic JohnAnd Tarin Re: Brown tiles with contrasting grout pics please.. 15Oct 24, 2009 1:22 pm Tillie Thankyou very much for your informative reply Charlie, I am going to have a think about and also goolge tiling pics to try and make up my mind. I am considering a more seamless approach as you had described. I have matched the dark tiles with dark grout as I didn't want the tiles to stand out and instead wanted to provide a warmer feel and more seamless approach. My tiles are not the highlight of the ensuite so therefore didn't choose a light grout colour. Instead our in-situ shower is the highlight of the ensuite as well as the vanity top. Hope that helps. Also, if you have a good colour consultant they will help you through this.
