Browse Forums Building Standards; Getting It Right! 1 Mar 16, 2024 10:58 pm Hi guys, We had our house final inspection and noticed uneven gaps between our floor boards and skirting boards. Our building supervisor said that he can’t do anything about it because if he puts sealant in between gaps then it will void the warranty of the floor board. I am just wondering if this is normal cause it doesn’t look nice to me. What’s your thoughts? Apparently, it should be that way. They can’t put any silicone as floating boards move and if they put any adhesion, over time, the floors will buckle.
