We changed this one to a waffle due to the budget.
Also going with Hebel which is light it didn't really need to be a raft slab so between the engineers and our concretor we decided waffle was the best option.

Re: Building a flame zone house in West Pymble on a steep si 51Oct 18, 2023 7:03 am Hi Everyone I am experimenting with some new signage on some of our more high profile builds. This one was installed yesterday. What do you think? This is an image of the actual house so the idea would be to include an individual facade shot for each home. Re: Building a flame zone house in West Pymble on a steep si 52Oct 18, 2023 8:02 am Looks heaps better than the usual temp fencing with a builder's banner cable tied to it. Its looks great and gives the neighbours and passing foot traffic etc. an insight into what's being built. The color contrast between the red strip and your contact details is spot on and gives you the best opportunity to generate some new business leads off of it. My only concern would be your banner traverses more than one section of temp fence and in my experience, where the temp fence is placed at the start of a build is not always where it stays. hope this feedback is helpful. Knockitdown Thanks for your feedback. For this job we haven't used temp fencing. We have built a hoarding with steel posts concreted into the ground and then covered in plywood. We also have built two gates for access at each end of the property. So this fence should stay in place until the end of the build. This wider photo might make more sense One of the reasons we have started the experiment here is that we are very close to a public school and all the parents park in the street for drop off and pick ups so we get a lot of car and foot traffic. Re: Building a flame zone house in West Pymble on a steep si 56Oct 20, 2023 12:49 pm Hi Everyone Quick update from site today. In my previous posts we had programmed to start external plumbing next Monday, but due to a clash on another job for Monday and the fact that my carpenters are available to start framing on Saturday, we brought it forward. So today all external drainage will be completed, then at 4pm we will install the termite barrier and start framing tomorrow. So excited to start framing! This now brings us back 6 days ahead of program after the earlier time we lost with missing waffles. My goal has always been to try and get the roof on by Christmas. I really hate leaving frames exposed longer than necessary and it has always been touch and go whether we will make it on this job. So any days we can pick up are a big win. I will post some framing photos as we progress Cheers Simeon Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Architectural Homes & Duplexes - specialising in custom designing homes to your budget Get a Free Onsite Consultation Today or send a PM for information, questions or advice. Re: Building a flame zone house in West Pymble on a steep si 57Oct 23, 2023 8:44 am Hi Everyone Quick update from site. Saturday we stood all of the lower frames, today we are waterproofing the internal drop edge beams and then we are waiting on the delivery of the structural steel. Once that has been installed we can do the floor joists and flooring. You can see from the photos the extremely high ceiling height in the living area, 3500mm which looks stunning. Here are some photos from the weekend.
