Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Aug 16, 2023 10:11 am Hi, we were asked by our bank to get an independent quantity surveyor to provide a “stage payment based QS reporting” and I had just received a quote back from the QS amounted to $15k exc GST. The breakdown of fees is as below: - initial financier’s report $3300 - progress drawdown report $1450 x 8 = $11600 I am not sure if this is normal in the current building climate. You don't need a QS to tell you, slab is complete, frame is complete and lockup is complete but you should get your own independent building consultant for stage inspections and defect reporting.
