You cant sleep on it, which is really where the actual test occurs. Youre not going to know how good it is by simply having a bit of a lay on it. Most of the online mattress places offer a full money back guarantee, usually on a full couple months "testing". Something brick and mortar retailers don't do. The value proposition for the online/in a box route is simply better. nothing to lose. Re: Mattress recommendations 8Mar 14, 2023 1:27 pm ponzutwo how does one "test" a mattress at a shop? You sleep on it +8 hours a night for multiple nights. Often issues with mattresses only become apparent after several nigths sleep. Snooze is a return at their own discretions - ergo, you can get stuffed. 40 winks comfort guarantee is on select mattress only. sht out of luck if you happen to chose one that doesn't fit the bill.
