We're still holding onto the initial colour selection sheet to really think things through.😊 Re: custom Build ownit home ownithomes.com.au quote, upgra 28Oct 02, 2018 7:44 pm I have signed off buildings specification on Friday 29 September. The storm water was blocked .
ownit home told me downpipes are glued and sealed off at the connection point to the underground drainage system that leads to the stormwater pit. They also mentioned me that the concreter has cut into the stormwater line by installing the grate creating a break in the line at the down pipe connection. which in turn , all the water from your down pipe is directly flowing out the boxed drain where they have cut into the line causing it to bubble and overflow. Driveway was never part of our contract and is an issue for you to take up with my concreter as I am now voiding warranties. Ownit has mentioned me that on day of handover they have strongly advise me to run a separate line from all my drainage connection points at the front of my property. The lie of my land from the street to your home falls directly to my home where it needs to be controlled and picked up with stormwater pits/drains to the stormwater pit directly, not via the house stormwater lines as their system is not designed for this amount of water. I have asked ownit home director which handover document it has mentioned to run a separate line from all your drainage connection points at the front of your property which causing me avoiding my home warranties. He mentioned it is not in writing Just have a conversation. where As I can remember this conversation never took place. I have forward their email to people who done my driveway Re: custom Build ownit home ownithomes.com.au quote, upgra 33Jun 17, 2019 7:17 pm I agree with their response. The stormwater was obviously designed as a charged system needed to overcome the reverse fall but the grate has broken the seal, thereby creating a lower point of least resistance. If the concreter has altered the original plumbing and created the problem as the case appears to be, the warranty is void (NOT avoided) and not their responsibility as per their communication. I hope that you get it sorted out. 3in1 Supadiverta. Rainwater Harvesting Best Practice using syphonic drainage. Cleaner Neater Smarter Cheaper Supa Gutter Pumper. Re: custom Build ownit home ownithomes.com.au quote, upgra 34Jun 17, 2019 8:12 pm Yes totally agree with what the builder has said, the stormwater was a closed system, the concretor has cut that closed system when installing the grates. It's not an issue with the builder, you will have to take it up the the concretor, good luck with it all and hope it works out. They are rubbish , from office to site , poor work quality , rubbish management, no QC, tonnes of reason to get rid of responsibilities, if anyone will to consider them , better avoid or wish you good luck Congrats.
