Hi all,
I've done colour appointment and electrical selections and am ready to sign the contract. I'm pre-approved for a loan for the right amount.
Only problem is I'm living overseas and have a slight concern that the bank will shaft me when it comes to full approval.
So I have asked for a 'subject to finance' clause in the contract or that they extend the cooling off period to 15 days, just to make sure I can get the finance unconditional.
Is this unreasonable. I had run it past them earlier and they said they don't do finance clauses and that the cooling off period should be enough time. Only problem is, cooling off period is 5 days and the bank said they'll take 10 days to do unconditional approval.
Is my request unreasonable? (I'm still waiting for them to get back to me.) I don't want to sign a contract, pay a deposit and risk losing the money.
