Re: Building with Metricon 4833Mar 09, 2017 3:37 pm Just got an updated estimate from our sales consultant and he said that Metricon are now offering insulation between ground and first floor. I assume he means a cheaper non hebel powerfloor. Hallelujah! Re: Building with Metricon 4834Mar 10, 2017 10:51 am Metricon Melb build. Anyone here adding an additional waste point in their wet area (having a drain in bathroom area) in Melb/Vic? It's a standard in Qld but I have requested this in Melb as a variation and have come back that their construction team don't/won't do it. Re: Building with Metricon 4836Mar 10, 2017 11:07 am I'll ask our consultant and see what he says cause I want them too Re: Building with Metricon 4837Mar 10, 2017 11:09 am They told us the same thing. Sales guy told us it was due to some nationalities/cultures pouring buckets of water over the floors for cleaning and expecting the drain to take it all away and then damaging floors/flooding etc. and wanting to claim that as damage via M. Don't know how much truth there is in that, but that was the explanation we were given Metro 32 KDRB Bayside Melbourne viewtopic.php?f=31&t=84012 Re: Building with Metricon 4838Mar 10, 2017 11:11 am JLH222 They told us the same thing. Don't worry, both Henley and Carlisle also refuses to do this. Second Build, this time with Carlisle 2016, can't wait! Seems crazy to me. Luckily metricon do flush shower bases, so water flooding will have a low point to drain to. Their answer was that they didn't want to raise the bathroom floor. But if they are already doing flush Shower bases then why not add an additional waste point and in most cases only 1M away.
