We are also building the fairmont 38. Due to start today hopefully. We have also built a Sheridan 38 with Clarendon before. I just finished external colour appointment. I need to go for electrical next and complete the kitchen and aircon selections. Clarendon is offering us 10 free downlights in place of free standing bath. Wondering whether I should take this offer or not. Seeking views as I am pretty undecided. Also, for aircon, I am planning to stay with the Temperzone one on offer just increase the zones to 5 - KMFL, Bedroom 1, Bedroom 2,3&4, Guest, Upstairs Leisure. I am thinking of combining Guest room and Upstairs Leisure as I think these will be least used. Just seeking views how often would you think Upstairs Leisure be used. Thanks in advance. Congrats I think the freestanding bath they quoted me around. $900 and 10 downlights would be around the same price. So much of a muchness think. I am also building the Leaton 28 but with home theater and grand alfresco making it a 29sq home. Did you make any modifications? Additions? I also went with the standard temperzone but only a total of 4 zones. I made my garage 4m wide instead of the standard as I find it too narrow. Thanks and Congrats to you too The theatre room is great addition. My hubby wanted it but the house is big enough for us so decided to have some more green space in the backyard. How have you divided your A/c zone if you don't mind sharing? We plan to use the study as a guest room if required so have added shower to the powder room and shifted the linen cupboard to laundry with doors facing the powder room so can be used as cupboard for guest room as well if the room is used so. Do you mind sharing your kitchen benchtop/ cabinet colours too as I am still trying to finalise them. Thanks Hi, I did not add a shower in the powder. My A/C zones are: Zone 1: kitchen, family, meals, home theater Zone 2: living and study Zone 3: bedroom 1 and leisure Zone 4: bedrooms 2,3,4 Kitchen benchtop is 40mm polar white pencil round edges. Cabinet colour schedule : door 1: polytech stone grey sheen finish Door2: polar white sheen Basically one side of kitchen is one colour and the other side is the other. I also added butler pantry instead of the standard pantry. Added undermount sink in butler pantry and a provision for bar/fridge underneath. I spent $12k on kitchen upgrades:(
We had the same kitchen colours in the last Clarendon house we built. They go lovely together
Thanks I was worried they won't match. Do you have pics ?:) also did you get sheen finish or just matte?
We got sheen. Ours was classic white sheen but basically the same. Yep have some photos. Will send you some shortly.
Thanks are you sending via PM? Who's building with Clarendon?? 16878Mar 08, 2017 12:45 pm Bench tops are 20mm Luna white. Island bar back stone grey sheen. Sides and front of island classic white sheen. Back bench cabinets all stone grey sheen with Luna white bench. Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 16880Mar 08, 2017 3:45 pm Hi All, First time posting here. Building a Bayside 36. We just finished our colour appointment on Monday. Could anyone shed some light for me regarding credit for splashback and skirting? We're looking to do these after handover. Our CSC is refusing to credit us the money and this is her response, "Unfortunately, we cannot handover a house without a splashback. You will need to pick a tile with Tile Direct for this. So we cannot credit back for splashback. Regarding the skirting, it is company policy to install the skirting whether the flooring is done through our suppliers or by the client after handover. During the build, skirting is laid on top of the slab prior to flooring. We can only handover a house that has skirting installed." Any help will be apprreciated.
