Thanks Re: Our Watersun Build - Kent 27 - Bricks and Plaster! 96Mar 03, 2017 6:21 pm wickie Well what a crazy few days it has been! Thanks to the amazing TashPaul I have been able to sort a few things. We have an incomplete inspection booked in for next week and have had the locks changed yesterday. I've heard a rumour from a friend whose hubby works in the industry that tradies are breaking in to houses and clearing out what they can. I feel for them but I feel for us more (selfish I know!) We put a sign up saying it was no longer a watersun property and have taken the tiles etc that were there (that we need to finish the bathroom.) I've called MBA for an insurance quote and they will get back to me. I've spoken to the administrator who said they are hoping to find another company to take over the contracts. I've hear rumours that Simonds were interested but that's just a rumour. For now we are listed as an unsecured creditor. We are getting info sent out to us in the next couple days and they are hoping to have more info within 2 - 3 weeks. It sucks because we were soo close to being finished. I can't help but think that if our land settling wasnt delayed by 6 months we would have been in now! BUT then I remember I really REALLY hated the carpet we picked so maybe this is a good thing cos I will be able to change the carpet! Gotta find the rainbow in every storm I guess! Lastly I just want to say thank you for your kinds words everyone! It means a lot! We know there are a lot of others in worse situations than us so just gotta roll with it I guess! Simonds Backed out before it went to receivership I guess it will be one of the big players Re: Our Watersun Build - Kent 27 - Bricks and Plaster! 97Mar 03, 2017 8:38 pm You just need to do what i wrote at this stage. I managed to do it whilst working, just had to go in to work late/left early when i had to meet someone at the house for inspections or quotes. Unfortunately it does take time. Must be so stressful going though something like that, but so great to see the kindness and fantastic help from Tash, would make such a stressful time that much easier to navigate. Hope everything gets resolved without too much issue and the build quickly get finished. Mr Wickie pointed out that they have about 10 different display home locations, some with 2 or 3 houses in each location so surely they would sell those to recoup some of the money? Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 7 19018 of course there are legal avenues. You've already mentioned it. Sue them. I find it odd that lawyers wouldnt be willing to take on the case, given CCT evidence and… 1 24178 "Losers" "humanity" "off time" "your" "top notch" "love symbol" Sounds like ponzo is done using other people's toilets 36 24340 |
