Easier to sell my ideas to him too Our "rough" plan for the front: http://i1365.photobucket.com/albums/r759/cat_dunc/Driveway%204_zpsqx8gn9qh.jpg I am reading your thread now. So far it looks fantastic. What program did you use to do your house and yard in 3D? Thank you Re: Newcastle landscape journey 38Jan 11, 2017 8:56 pm We haven't done any more paving because we don't have a brick saw, we're meant to be borrowing one but it hasn't happened yet so might just hire one for the day. We've filled in the garden beds with organic soil and horse manure and planted the collection of free plants we've been given. There's four frangapanis (not sure on colour), a heap of bromeliads, two bottle brush, 6 gravilias, 4 acmenas (Lilly pillys?) and a heap of these tall spindly looking plants (only small still as they were cuttings). We aren't sure what plants we want but have now decided we want the gardens to look "lush". It's a fair change from my "pink, purple and grey cottage garden" look we started with The closest I can come to that describes lush is maybe "sub-tropical"? Either way as you can tell we have a way to go! Plants are spaced into lots of gaps mostly to make the gardens look nicer as we had our first biggish party the other day we'll move them around as the other garden beds are prepared and have chosen other plants. Why did I fill it with gravel? Why???? Planted some pink marble photonia in this tight garden to give privacy to the kids windows. Hopefully the roots don't bust the wall in time! Need some more to fully cover the view of the fence from the rooms. It pays to show your State in your avatar. Retaining wall regulations… 5 7874 Hi, you've probably already resolved this, however, Commbank will probably pay the funds to you after you send evidence the work is done regardless the change in the quotes. 1 35345 |
