It looks whiter as a roof than what it looks on the sample because of the sun. He advises against dark roofs as they fade badly under the aussie sun. Will be great to watch your progress. Thank you, I've been wondering if I should start a new thread, it's getting a bit long!!! Are you having the butlers pantry? I would have liked the rear of house fusion package but we couldn't justify the extra few k just for a bigger linen cupboard, an extra sink and moving the shower. Will you have the 6- slider? I love the facade you have chosen Re: Building the Simonds Palisade in Gippsland 12Jan 07, 2017 2:34 pm Hi Cassie! My partner and I are also building the Palisade in Drouin, we're both originally from the South East suburbs and fell in love with Gippsland and how beautiful and quiet it is, good choice! Re: Building the Simonds Palisade in Gippsland 13Jan 07, 2017 6:11 pm I like Traf. It has everything you need. A supermarket, medical clinic, banks etc and its not too far from bigger towns. Traf High was good when I went there 20 years ago! It still has a good reputation. I'm not sure about the primary schools. I love the facade you have chosen It was pretty long but I was quite hooked! Haha I don't often read a whole thread I just look for the photos. We haven't upgraded the rear of house, I actually couldn't really tell the difference! Butlers pantry would be cool but I think it's not quite worth the money. I really want the 6 slider but depends how much we spend in gallery, we have 5000 to spend that we didn't use in the promo so we'll see where that takes us. Originally we were going to swap the window in the lounge with the door in the family but have realised we need that back door. Do you know how much the six slider is? It really does compliment that space with the cathedral ceilings! It's such a great layout without needing to change much if anything. We are currently in south east suburbs too alexandraa, My partner and I hate the hustle bustle so gippsland is a good choice for us! (Although we have had a bit of "are you sure" from family members) Looking forward to being build buddies! AJB good to hear you liked it! The schooling is pretty important as we have a couple of young lads starting school in the next couple years so hoping they are good Building the simonds palisade in gippsland Re: Building the Simonds Palisade in Gippsland 16Jan 07, 2017 9:36 pm SA prices are very different to there's probably not much point in me telling you the cost of the 6 slider. I agree regarding the butlers pantry but my hubby was adamant that he wanted it so we went with it, otherwise we'd probably have built the Sierra Re: Building the Simonds Palisade in Gippsland 17Jan 08, 2017 9:35 am Cassie.f90 There's quite a few palisades popping up now. All of our friends are complaining that it's so far away but with the amount of money we're saving we really don't care if we have to drive an extra 20 or so minutes everyday! Can't wait to be build buddies either ☺ Re: Building the Simonds Palisade in Gippsland 18Jan 10, 2017 5:57 pm We got our pre approval today!! Yay!! Definitely feels real now. It’s currently being assessed by our building surveyor 4 19601 With that sort of soil type if you ask for a design to include piers then I would also include void formers. That way you should reduce the chances of settlement and heave. 7 20083 |
