Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Adelaide Designer Homes 2015 -Garden Pics 981Oct 28, 2016 7:23 pm Thanks Franky and Tribe. Franky, I know you understand the frustrations of landscaping we have had more than our fair share of complete sh$#$e people helping us with landscaping, but it has come together - we do have a bit of "fixing" to do..... Tribe definitely recommend the spring free we have the smallest one - kids love it. No injuries yet but we have a one jumping at a time rule - boring yes but safer ! Re: Adelaide Designer Homes 2015 -Garden Pics 982Oct 30, 2016 7:56 am Wow Blue, your yard looks fantastic! How's your interior? Coming together just the way you want it? Re: Adelaide Designer Homes 2015 -Garden Pics 985Nov 07, 2016 1:38 pm Hey CS, thanks! I do love mid century pieces but the house is a real mish mash of what we already have I love simple and clean cut design : ) Will post more rooms as they are finished. Adelaide Designer Homes 2015 -Garden Pics 986Nov 08, 2016 4:26 am It's very cool! You are super creative, resourceful and original blue LOVE it! How are you all enjoying the new home? Is there anything you would have done differently? Or are you in heaven? We love our new home. Have added a few extra powerpoints. Re: Adelaide Designer Homes 2015 -Garden Pics 987Sep 28, 2020 4:08 pm Hi I saw your review about Adelaide Designer home. It will be great if you can please help me to answer the following. Did you build double story home with them? How long it took from contract to handover? Any issues/concerns? Were they too pricey in comparison to big builders? Were there any surprises (cost or selection or anything else) Thanks Abdul Re: Adelaide Designer Homes 2015 -Garden Pics 988Sep 28, 2020 4:22 pm Hey, No it was a single storey Contract to handover was about 4 - 6 months contract time - but this is contract/selections/and council and build was 6 months No issues more than our previous build and very responsive to questions and problems No they weren't pricey their inclusions were significantly better No surprises and best news were are in council now about to build our third house (2nd with them) and I think that itself is the best review : ) Re: Adelaide Designer Homes 2015 -Garden Pics 989Mar 07, 2022 9:43 pm Hi Bluesteel, just read through your posts on how you have contracted with Adelaide Designer Homes for 2 homes. We have just bought a land in Adelaide and are looking for builders. We plan to have a 2 storey custom design. Frontage is 10m. AD Homes is one we came across through this forum. Others we are trying to get inputs from are Rivergum, Sunshine, and Hickinbotham. Am keen to learn how did your recent experience go with AD Homes? Was it as good as the first time? In our case, I am currently working overseas which makes it complex to visit builders and their display homes. We plan to move to Adelaide by early 2023. With the current rate of inflation, we hope we can start while we are away at least get the master plan and council approvals done but frankly not sure if its doable (or is it a crazy idea to do it this way ) Would really appreciate your views. Thanks Your build is relatively simple, I believe your job can be easily done by a good building designer, you really do not need to pay for the architect.
