How can he be a SS and not know the rules with council. If it was me I'd probably take the credit and get someone else purely so I'd have to deal with him less. Re: Ryalls - Coral Homes Noosa 26 - Week 22/23 Tiling 1609Oct 20, 2016 8:18 am Agree with all here, save yourself the headache and get it done after handover and get the credit back. I paid much less than what coral were going to charge me , and my tender did not even include kerb cutting, or sealing either. And to top it off, the driveway shape wasnt very appealing so my guy redesigned it to make it more aesthetic. It seems to say that driveways are exempt of development consent. does that mean you DONT need to go through council for a driveway? https://www.lakemac.com.au/development/plan/types We plan on getting our driveway done a little wider than originally in our council submitted building plans so I am hoping it doesent have to go through council again. If I were you I would probably delete and get it done yourself. I have this feeling( well tjatbfeeling is slipping away as less is being done lately) that we may be close to handover just before Christmas. And the driveway. Being the last thing that gets done, may be something that delays a pre Christmas hand over. I my head I have been thinking if that was to delay that, I would be happy to organise that myself. You may get a better deal else where too. If u do it yourself. Do u need to still put it through council? Yes, Im thinking the same thing! Wouldn't need to go back through council as it has already been approved Ahhh the xmas deadline is scarring me too! _________________________ Building the Noosa 26 with Coral Homes https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80794 Re: Ryalls - Coral Homes Noosa 26 - Week 22/23 Tiling 1613Oct 20, 2016 12:27 pm Mahadev Can you please tell me guys which colour is good snowy mountain half or snow mountain full strength.. You are all right, We are going to request the credit and organise it ourselves. To be honest we knew we were getting ripped but didnt want the hassle, But now the builder is making a drama out of it ill hopefully save some cash and get it done better anyway! As a rough guide i just worked out coral were quoting us $168 per square meter for coloured concrete and Ive already had an estimate of $95/m2 or $110/m2 for exposed aggregate - Which id love! Hopefully we end up with something even better. Thanks again for your advise, I don't know what I'd do without you all!! :-D _________________________ Building the Noosa 26 with Coral Homes https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80794 Re: Ryalls - Coral Homes Noosa 26 - Week 22/23 Tiling 1616Oct 20, 2016 12:45 pm nataliea Ryalls - what you do make of this on the Lake Macquarie council website? Yes you will need to go through council, but if you already have I doubt you'll need an amendment. I have the driveway approval letter and after speaking with LMCC as long as I stay within its requirements we are all good. Did you get the letter? It looks great though. What colour are you painting it. Re: Ryalls - Coral Homes Noosa 26 - Week 22/23 Tiling 1619Oct 22, 2016 2:16 pm It's actually great weather for render! I thought the same thing when they were rendering mine but it's good to keep the concrete moist as if it dries too quick, it cracks It is looking great! C U S T O M. C O R A L.
