Like Dee I have not seen a option of that - mine were done and it never occurred to me to ask would it. That is a bit sad if they are just trying to make extra money. I agree this is your chance to do something different like timber cladding. I really don't know and was completely thrown when he brought it up as our contract was drawn. I do not understand why it wouldn't be standard and even if not, we would have been prepared to pay the extra, back then, to upgrade anyway.
