We finished our roof tiles a week ago and no activity since and it's been beautiful weather. We are waiting for the eaves to be done now, they promised Friday, but nobody turned up Friday or yesterday.
But it's looking so good and we are happy with the quality of work so far. Please post pictures of yours when the bricks are done, really eager to see them as they were our 2nd choice. I know B..... 6 weeks ago I went off at my SS and told him to stop telling me that the tradies need to finish off their display homes before they come work on mine. I reminded him that I've payed nearly half a million dollars to Fowler to build my house and mine should be a priority over their displays because I'm way behind..... Don't know if that helped me or got my SS annoyed....Lol. Yes as stated before they gave me an offer I couldn't refuse. I'm sure they will try and get their money back from me down the track somewhere somehow. But seriously it was one of those negotiations where if you don't do it for this price I'll go somewhere else. So was lucky they accepted, that was mid 2014. Our Fowler Homes Paris 34 - Jordan Springs 30Jul 31, 2016 10:37 pm BL35ED Sounds bout right... I signed mine in 2013 for a very good price. I can only assume you didnt go for many upgrages Ray or variations of your own? Yeah we did many variations because of the granny and did get many upgrades that were thrown in for free too though. Our electrical alone was $13k extra, but that's everything fully fitted (downlights, dimmers, intercom etc...) I just wanted to not do any work inside after handover, and just concentrate on landscape and fencing when we move in. But that price is still really amazing mate. I paid 350k with my ultra modern facade colorbond roof, matrix cladding solar water and all my electrical included double glazed windows and bamboo staircase no flooring inside and no landscaping. Re: Our Fowler Homes Paris 34 - Jordan Springs 35Sep 15, 2016 9:07 am KP16 Hi Rayges, how's things going?? We are SSSSLLLLOOOWWW..... Still not finished bricks 6 weeks later. Hi KP16.... Wow still on Bricks, no way. My bricks were finished in 3 weeks with just 2 older gentlemen working on it. Mine were there everyday until finished. Are yours there daily or are they off to other jobs in between? Well my build is going slowwwleyyyy as well. 3 weeks have gone by with only 4 days of work. We are supposed to be in by end of October - no chance. We are upto electrical and aircon rough-ins. I haven't been past my house in a week because I've just come back from a Gold Coast holiday, well needed one too. Can you post some progress pics to see the brickwork? Thx. Ray. Not the greatest photos, hard to get with the scaffolding and general mess! Yep, in between jobs, delays with scaffold ect ect, is the general excuses re the delay in completing. They started bricks at the end of July. Little bit over it actually. But I have enough other distractions to keep me from losing my cool - can't say the same for my husband though! He won't even drive past anymore. I think the plumbing may be all done though. Not sure if there is other work going on whilst there is delays in bricks as we don't get any updates from our SS. Good to hear at least one of us will be in by Christmas! Re: Our Fowler Homes Paris 34 - Jordan Springs 37Sep 15, 2016 9:53 pm It's freaky to see these progress picks as it just looks exactly like my house. Lol. It's amazing that Fowler don't have a protocol in place with all their SS's to give us a weekly update phone call just to keep us not getting all frustrated of the Unknown. If I see no workers there for 3-4 straight days, I demand some answers from my SS. The excuse is always the tradies are at another job. When does our house get a priority?!? I know exactly how your husband feels. I just live up the road from my build and sometimes just avoid the drive-by because I always get disappointed......like today, my wife and I went past after not seeing it for a week and still the same, no work for a week Oh well let's keep up the posts here to at least get excited that we are building the exact same house. Re: Our Fowler Homes Paris 34 - Jordan Springs 39Oct 13, 2016 5:47 pm Hi... well you'd think so. But NO! And can you believe I got a bill to pay the externals completion yesterday, I was not happy to say the least. Apparently the bricks will be finished next Wednesday and the cladding and all the other externals finished by the end of next week with our walk through before internals start scheduled for the following Monday. No hope before Christmas now, end of feb is the new estimate of completion. Can you believe that we started at bricks in July, lack of trades is no longer an excuse that is sitting well with me due to perhaps being homeless by the end of this year due to the house we are renting being put up for sale. The roof and eves have all finished though so not too far off lock up. Have you got a picture of yours without the scaffold? Here's a couple of ours... That is totally ridiculous..... What is the SS saying, is he communicating with you or just all excuses. We had our plastering nearly finished and staircase up today.
