Hi anna_amit_waldorf, I'm sure it would have been just a couple of grand extra. We just wanted something higher than standard andsince we're not very tall in our family, we thought 2590mm is okay. But i do agree with you that 2.7mm is much better. Due to increase in Alfresco and extended garage, it's 34 squares. Our sales rep has put in an electrical allowance of $4500. I am not sure if that's enough. I calculated around 40 downlights. Does anyone know how much does it cost per downlight from PD ? And will it be cheaper to get it done outside ? Will PD give points for it and allow us to install LEDs externally ? Does anyone know how much does it cost per downlight from PD ? And will it be cheaper to get it done outside ? Will PD give points for it and allow us to install LEDs externally ? I suspect you'll need to budget more than that if you want PD to do all of your electrical. This was the price list we received a few months ago so you might want to confirm with your SC or Argus themselves that these are the current prices. Other things to consider are external lights, extra power points, any internet/networking, alarm/intercoms etc. It really adds up. Regarding whether to get PD to do your down lights or get them post hangover (PD won't let other people onto site to do anything during the build), it's a bit easier because you are building a single storey. If you had a 2 storey, it's apparently very difficult to retrofit the ground floor. We initially looked at retrofitting our upper floor, but with the price for our electrician on top of off-setting the included batten lights, it was minimal difference in cost. Obviously depends on the cost of your electrician, but might be worth investigating since you are building a single storey. Lighting Standard batten light (in centre of room) $ 48.51 Lighting Offset charge (to move batten light) $ 15.00 Lighting Batten & noggin (pendant provision for greater than 800gm) $ 104.00 Lighting Basic wall light $ 46.20 Lighting LED downlight (white) $ 106.00 Lighting LED downlight (brushed chrome) $ 112.60 Lighting LED Plus downlight (white) $ 119.20 Lighting LED Plus downlight (brushed chrome) $ 125.80 **NOTE: LED Plus can be dimmable with the inclusion of a dimmer switch** Lighting Single fluorescent tube light $ 107.00 Lighting Double fluorescent tube light $ 123.20 Lighting Under cupboard triangle light (white) $ 115.50 Lighting Under cupboard triangle light (brushed chrome) $ 130.90 Lighting Under cupboard recessed downlight (white) $ 115.50 Lighting Under cupboard recessed downlight (brushed chrome) $ 130.90 **NOTE: to have recessed downlights a cut out will need to be made in their Kitchen Culture appointment – approx. price is $88 per cabinet** Lighting Standard square step light $ 123.20 Lighting Single Paraflood Light with Sensor $ 130.90 Power Standard Single power point $ 40.04 Power Standard Double power point $ 43.12 Power Double Power Point with switch $ 69.30 **NOTE: Good addition for under cupboard light switch** Power Quad power point $ 80.08 Power Kitchen island bench double power point $ 107.80 Power Single weatherproof power point $ 86.24 Power Double weatherproof power point $ 107.80 Power Surge protection (single phase) $ 200.20 Power Power Point with USB Charger $ 123.20 Switches 2-way switch $ 55.44 Switches 3-way switch $ 110.88 Switches 1 switch with 1 dimmer $ 77.00 Switches 2 switches with 2 dimmers $ 154.00 Exhaust/ Heat Standard Exhaust fan $ 200.20 Exhaust/ Heat Heat/fan/light with 2 lamps $ 284.90 Exhaust/ Heat Heat/fan/light with 4 lamps $ 361.90 TV/Network Wall mounted TV pre wire with GPO $ 385.00 TV/Network Digital TV Roof Mounted Aerial $ 360.00 TV/Network Free to air TV point $ 55.44 Security Smoke detectors $ 123.20 Miscellaneous Junction Box (Brick) $ 70.84 Miscellaneous Junction Box (Pillar) $ 132.00 Miscellaneous Junction Box (Internal) $ 55.44 **Please note; prices are current as of 05.12.2014 and are subject to change. With PD they over estimate which you'll get credited back anyway in the end. I'm not with PD anymore and we took the fixed option with another which were glad because in a year prices have escalated and unfortunately not being fixed you'll pay for more in the end. As you see I'm with M now but I've been tracking the 3 main builders since and Carlisle will be one the expensive ones. The measurements as displayed in Ashton(?), Craigieburn, are accurate of what we're getting. The house at Berry Lane only has the kitchen we liked, though everything is marginally larger in the 21sq. With the 'live the dream' deal we had the evap cooling and floor pack, have deleted the evap and there's a 5k credit on our quote, and we'll most likely delete the flooring and do it all over handover as well. The flooring should be a 10k credit. Reply Reply Like Share More 13 May 2016 20 VIC Junior Member Re: Porter Davis Upgrades and Costs 517May 21, 2016 7:44 am Thanks PVBuild.
