I've also taken a few photos of the different areas that will be having planting and will put down what's scheduled to go there. We wanted the x2 Ornamental pear type Pyrus calleryana 'Bursnozam' 'Burgandy Snow' here but it can't be sourced. They've suggested x1 Pyrus calleryana chanticleer instead which is larger, or stick with the Capital and have 3 or something. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Ground cover - they suggested Rosemary Prostratus but I am not a fan. Instead we've asked can they use Evolvulus Pilosus 'Blue Daze' or Lithodora diffusa 'star'. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Phew, long post! Stuck whether to go with x2 Pyrus calleryana chanticleer in front of the charcoal fence which grow to be 11hx6w, or x2 Pyrus calleryana 'Fronzam' Frontier which grow to be 10hx4w which might not look as squashy. Still have not decided whether to put a small maple in this corner: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Might not be room. If size of Maple tees is an issue, possibly a weeping cherry would suit. We had one growing up in a Hawthorn terrace front garden and it was easy to keep to the right size and very pretty. WoH http://www.onlineplants.com.au/shopping ... -40cm.html I'm so tempted by this one though for out the front! Hmmm! That is a beautiful tree..... very hard to resist! I love all the options and picture above as well. No matter what you end up going with in that selection it will be stunning. Lighting is perfect! Also, I forgot to add we were told by the paint shop not to paint. Even this whole week which has virtually no rain forecast. Reason being, it's too cold. We need the temp to hit 16 or 17 for at least 4 hours of the day unless we want the paint to slide off - or potential bubbling in summer. I'm not sure where that leaves us, as this is Melbourne, and it's practically Winter.
