Re: IP CCTV system recommendations 157May 16, 2016 11:03 am bpratt Have you guys found any apps for smart tv's that can access your cameras easily ? I'd like to stay on my fat arse and flick the remote to see what's going on out the front without having to get up. Don't have anything directly for a smart tv natively. But what I do is use an inexpensive Chromecast dongle to cast my camera app from my phone onto the big screen. Not ideal because you still need the phone app. Alternatively you could use a cheap Android HDMI stick that can constantly run the camera app, and all you need to do is flick sources with your TV remote. That seems like a possibility... now just to try and find something that will work. My camera's go straight to my NAS, so I can't plug that in to the tv. I'd hoping one of these tv manufacturers had already got an app for their tv's that supported this sort of thing. Thanks for the other replies too.
