Re: Clarendon Parkhill 36 in Coomera Retreat. Windows! 473Jan 06, 2016 8:28 pm 06/01/2016 - Front yard cleaned up. Spoke to the guys doing the clean up and they reckon they will be back another 2 or 3 times before it's all completed. Only front yard cleaned today as the scaffold needs to be removed to allow access to the rear. Clarendon Parkhill 36 in Coomera Retreat. Windows! 475Jan 08, 2016 12:08 am Omg loving the pic over load wow you have had a productive couple of weeks, the brick work looks great and so does the render. Can't believe they goosed the position for the render and the gas connection, thank goodness you noticed and got them to fix it. Holy sh7t that's one hell of a mess, good news they are cleaning it up though, enjoy digging up bricks when you start landscaping. I've dug up 4 bricks and numerous drink cans. My neighbour dug up a bucket with bricks in it . Woo hoo the gyprock is hung too, Clarendon are working hard on your place that's for sure. Good idea getting all your air con conduits ran now, the conduits are for splits systems? Wow 70 downlights is massive, they should be good for energy efficiency Re: Clarendon Parkhill 36 in Coomera Retreat. Windows! 476Jan 08, 2016 12:48 am 70 downlights and thats NOT all of them lol. Yeah pipes and cable is for split systems. I'm still a little old fashioned and like to have better control over temps in rooms. Have never had a good experience with ducted yet so will stick to splits I think they are working hard to try and get past the issues of changing things that suite them on the plan but not when the client asks for something. Gunna suck to be them come Monday. Cheers, Paul (& Lisa) Parkhill 36 by ClarendonHomes in Coomera Retreat H1 Build Thread And Blog Building Blogs List - Go Ahead And Add Yours!! Re: Clarendon Parkhill 36 in Coomera Retreat. Windows! 478Jan 12, 2016 11:25 am Hahhaha your nuts 70 + downlights is huge. Defiantly display home grade those things have a million lights. Hey how's those display homes going near you? Fair enough with the air con, I was nervous about our ducted but it's so good not expensive to run either so happy days. So how was clarendons Monday? I can imagine them shaking in there boots once you start calling. Cornices look great too, your coming along really well now, stairs next? Did you go for fancy stairs? Re: Clarendon Parkhill 36 in Coomera Retreat. Windows! 479Jan 12, 2016 12:10 pm 12/01/2015 - Soffit and External Cladding going on. Carpenters have battened out the Soffit and Walls and were just starting to lift all the cladding up when I went past. Hopefully they might have it done when I head to work later this afternoon. It's actually: 88 x Downlights 4 x Pendant Lights 6 x LED Strip Lights (Kitchen) 4 x UpDown Lights 5 x External Flood Lights 8 x Step Lights 1 x Exhaust Fan/Light 3 x Exhaust Fans 9 x Ceiling Fans Hmm.. That's embarrassing lol You know, they (I'll generalise that by saying "Most, if not all Project Builders"), must have a pre-requisite for the staff they employ. They must have the gift of the gab. Must be able to talk over, through and above anyone that tries to rock the boat lol. As I have seen before, they always seem to have a answer for everything, but I stated my case as polite as I could and was told they would see what they could do. In other words.. here.. we'll tell you what you want to hear so you go away. The upside is experience. Experience for me that tells me if I ever build another house (which will never happen), I would NEVER deal with a project builder. It's just too painful. Would rather spend the extra money straight up with a boutique builder that will give me what I want. We were originally going to go for nice timber stairs but a couple of factors stopped us. 1 - Cost. Simply put, we spent our funds in other areas and just couldn't afford timber stairs. 5 - Comfort. After talking to a number of friends they all pointed out that I sleep through the day (heading there very soon) and drive all night. So carpeted stairs will be better for the noise factor.
