Re: Our first build with Fairmont Homes - Blakes Crossing So 66Dec 26, 2015 10:02 am Nice spot! Our house is a hybrid of the Simonds double storey display home on the lake. When we went upstairs and looked out the master bedroom windows,we wanted to swap locations. That lake is beautiful! Re: Our first build with Fairmont Homes - Blakes Crossing So 67Jan 03, 2016 11:23 pm Counting down to final interview, we are calling tomorrow Just to see if we can take someone's cancellation if there is one! We can't wait, far too exciting! So we have also settled on plateau brick by pgh and thinking of changing front door to timber front door and timber panel glide on the garage. Hopefully they don't mind us making the change at final interview, also trying to decide on the render colour for portico, thinking paperbark might be nice, this has been the hardest part for us is the exterior colours!! Re: Our first build with Fairmont Homes - Blakes Crossing So 68Jan 18, 2016 8:18 pm Final interview done and dusted, just a little tip we found out today, if you want mains water tap for your yard ie feed the dog, kids to play in water other than in recycled water you are only provided with two grey taps on the side of the house that has the plumbing this is standard, we needed to pay an extra 200 for the tap and 18 dollars for every metre from the closest plumbing point to have mains water included. A few upgrades needed but otherwise a good final interview, took 4 hours mind you!! Our final selection colours are: Bricks: pgh plateau with Brighton lite white sand mortar Roof: monument colourbond Gutter: monument Faschia: jasper Render to portico: half strength jasper Garage in Madison profile: monument Door: jasper Windows: anodic silver Internal colours: earths child on walls (3 coat system) double strength on window trim and white ceilings Should have letter from bank soon to commence, won't have PCI date until slab is poured. Can't wait to get started!!!
