Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building our first home with Home Group WA 8Aug 13, 2015 2:01 pm I'm not sure about the open wall in front of the shower in the main bedroom. Just as you can see into shower as soon as you walk into the room. ( just my personal preference) I do like the kitchen/scullery layout Good luck with the build. Re: Building our first home with Home Group WA 9Aug 14, 2015 7:05 pm So we had our tile and laminate meeting today, went quite quickly.. Probably because we stuck with white, here are our choices. Ensuite, Bathroom and Laundry Grey floor tile, gloss white wall tiles, marble laminate bench top and white cupboards Kitchen Marble stone with gloss white subway tile as splashback I think we seem to like marble a bit Re: Building our first home with Home Group WA 10Aug 14, 2015 7:09 pm StarGirlStar I'm not sure about the open wall in front of the shower in the main bedroom. Yes unfortunately we realised this after we signed off on our final drawings I'm not sure if they will allow us to add on a door if it's counted as a structural change? However it is on my pre start list to question! Re: Building our first home with Home Group WA 11Aug 14, 2015 7:17 pm Ahhh I see... Maybe get them to move the wall so the opening is opposite the sink instead? I know any structural changes in pre-start cost you! So you have to be sure. Maybe if your just moving it it would be ok. Good luck Re: Building our first home with Home Group WA 12Aug 15, 2015 4:48 pm Your floorplan and colour selection looks great I look forward to following your build My Home Group build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=77067 Re: Building our first home with Home Group WA 13Aug 20, 2015 4:13 pm Yay settlement on the block today Re: Building our first home with Home Group WA 15Aug 25, 2015 11:32 am And we have a pre start date booked in!!! However it is on my pre start list to question! We changed the total layout of our ensuite at prestart without any problems. Perhaps you could swap your shower and vanity with each other as I am guessing you want to leave the doorway where it is for bed placement (correct me if i am wrong). Posting to follow. Yeah that's what we were thinking of doing, just switching them as we want our bed placed on the wall between the ensuite and WIR. I'll be happy if we can change it around at pre start Re: Building our first home with Home Group WA 20Sep 03, 2015 2:32 pm Hi everyone, sorry to hijack this thread- has anyone building with HGWA upgraded their Della Vita kitchen to 40mm with waterfall ends??? We just got our costing back and it's been quoted around $5500!!!! I'm pretty sure that's how much Caesarstone charge and they are much better?!? I've tried searching threads but there's so many to go through! Thanks so much! Mon Mon 4 14777 Can anyone give me any onfo on New Homes WA? Good or bad, hopefully good just need to know if my choice was good or not? Thanks ❤️ 0 9134 That is a really good attitude Akin to you catch more flies with honey than vinegar.
