I cant wait til I'm at Pennodream or rmjrose , or justwondering1 stage! Building the Clarendon Merriden 30 (44 after Mods) @ Harrington Grove! I feel like getting to Pennodream, rmjrose or justwondering1's stage is a very, very long time away. Will *try* to enjoy the admin side of things in the meantime lol (doubt it) Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 6215Apr 21, 2015 11:54 am Myself and Hubby are finding this part very frustrating because EVERYTHING is an upgrade! At the beginning we thought everything was included but as you go along you find that the nicer stuff is all upgrades! We are all mostly spending onwards of half a mill on our builds alone and we won't settle for mediocre finishes and looks! So we have to pay extra, extra, extra! Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 6217Apr 21, 2015 12:21 pm Our Paddington 29 build worked out to be around 337,000.. quite reasonable when you consider that it has Sapphire inclusions, a driveway, all the Summer of "Free" inclusions and so on.. We'll end up also with a 12 jet spa bath in the main and a third bathroom downstairs.. we didn't feel the need to upgrade anything beyond that.. the sapphire inclusions really are pretty amazing.. certainly don't consider anything we are doing as "mediocre" that's for sure. They could be better but the house is going to look pretty high end at the end of the process compared to existing builds around the same suburbs. I'm building park hill 32 with alfresco and media room and our block is 12.5 m wide. Where r u building? bk84 Hey guys! Long time! Happy to say that my partner and I paid our $1k deposit over the weekend. We are looking at building the Paddington 31 with some minor changes. We are so undecided as we also love the Parkhill 32. But apparently it might be too wide to fit on our 12.5x30m block (?) I suppose we still have plenty of time to decide but it's doing my head in! Anyway, have been busy catching up on all the posts. Have still been following this thread since a couple months ago when I asked about variations and upgrades to factor. THank you everyone. You guys have been heaps helpful and really appreciate all your help (it's actually helped in leaning me towards Clarendon as our builder!!) Very excited but also very nervous! Everyone's builds look so beautiful. I'm sure I will be re-reading posts and blogs as there are definitely some colours re: bricks and paint for walls I have seen and loved! Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 6219Apr 21, 2015 12:39 pm Each to their own light487. We didn't like most of the "FREE" inclusions. If we all had the same taste this would be a boring world..... In saying that the free stuff is quite nice we just wanted EXTRA nice... P.S By mediocre i meant quality not look. For instance, the "Free" carpet is horrible quality but its $8k to upgrade to the beautiful stuff. So we are taking the credit back and for that same price we got a top quality carpet at a carpet place. The "Free"tiles, are ok but we want 600 x 600 and for Clarendon that would be an upgrade, but for the credit we get back we can have the tiles we want and not pay Clarendon an arm and a leg! Yes, we're very worried about all the upgrades we will be doing. We've asked Clarendon to include everything in the tender like flooring/tiles, driveway, etc etc that way we know what our max is (for the timebeing). We'll only have a mnimal allowance after for electricals and colours so I am hoping that we will find something we are happy with in their standard range It is Genneral stairs, but they won't deal with anyone off the street. They will only work with clients of project home builders. I tried to but some of these exact… 3 8613 The two 15mm holes are obviously not compliant.
