I do really appreciate all your kind words - this build is moving quite quickly I cant keep up. On top of that I have updates from yesterday's pool meeting that I will have post ... soon. First I need some zzzzz's Re: Asha's HGWA build - Render 744Sep 20, 2014 4:59 pm AKB Ohh can't wait to hear about the pool Same here, its my next thing to investgate/price Re: Asha's HGWA build - Render 745Sep 20, 2014 7:20 pm Pool progress has been very slow ... because I keep changing my mind. No surprises there! Anyways here is the final (I think) pool plan. Sorry only have a basic sketch. It is not huge roughly 6 x 3m overall in each direction with a large swim out for kids at only 600mm deep. Along the full length of the main pool on top of the pool wall will be an 1800mm wall with water feature. Re: Asha's HGWA build - Pool plan 746Sep 20, 2014 7:30 pm Nice. At lot of thought has gone into that, I can tell. Love your colour too, similar to ours. I've just come in from cleaning our pool, I find it cathartic. Why I bothered I don't know, the neighbours tree is in blossom and the pool will be full of teeny tiny flowers again tomorrow .... then I get to clean it again. Ahhh, my happy place! Re: Asha's HGWA build - Pool plan 747Sep 20, 2014 7:35 pm Thanks Marcia!! We will have the problem of trees being nice and close too. It is soo hard picking the colour off a sample when they look so different once the pool is filled. Im hoping its not too dark. Re: Asha's HGWA build - Pool plan 748Sep 20, 2014 7:39 pm Do you have a site plan showing where the pool will go? (sorry if its hidden in the last 38 pages) Re: Asha's HGWA build - Pool plan 749Sep 20, 2014 7:42 pm Yep DH had finally talked me into chopping down the worst trees before we build the pool - that won't stop the tiger snakes though <!-- l --><a class="postlink-local" href="https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=62083">viewtopic.php?t=62083</a><!-- l --> Re: Asha's HGWA build - Pool plan 750Sep 20, 2014 7:48 pm Wow! Is that water blade feature going to be along the whole length of the pool? Re: Asha's HGWA build - Pool plan 751Sep 20, 2014 7:51 pm Gee your home already looks pretty Asha. Toni's thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=71645 Re: Asha's HGWA build - Pool plan 752Sep 20, 2014 7:56 pm We had a neighbours tree that dropped pine needles into the pool the first two years we had it. I don't know how many diaphragms our Barracuda went thru! Lucky for us, he got the guilts on when he watched us clean up the mess on an almost daily basis in summer that he got rid of it!! We were the same Asha, with the colour, it is really hard to visualise it off a sample. But ours worked out really well. Are you going limestone around it?? Those blues shine bright off a limestone back drop. Re: Asha's HGWA build - Pool plan 753Sep 20, 2014 8:06 pm Perth_Euro Do you have a site plan showing where the pool will go? (sorry if its hidden in the last 38 pages) Not quite a site plan but this should give you an idea of where it sits in relation to the house. We will be putting a shade sail up over the shallow section which will also shade all the dining windows from the morning sun in summer. Sorry literally just cut the pool out and pasted it on haha. Our neighbour dug up a nest of dugite eggs when they were doing their cut and fill a month or so back - yuk!!! Re: Asha's HGWA build - Pool plan 755Sep 20, 2014 8:09 pm trixee Wow! Is that water blade feature going to be along the whole length of the pool? No only 1500mm I think. Im not a huge fan - I think they look a bit like urinals but I was voted against 2:1 Re: Asha's HGWA build - Pool plan 757Sep 20, 2014 8:12 pm Marcia We had a neighbours tree that dropped pine needles into the pool the first two years we had it. Might have to do some mood boards and let everyone give me their opinions ??? Re: Asha's HGWA build - Pool plan 758Sep 20, 2014 8:13 pm Yep we tend to find the tiger snakes are attracted to the pool - in the period where it wasn't quite warm enough to swim and we had the pool blanket on we would quite often find a snake that had slithered into the pool but not been able to get out and therefore drowned - the chlorine made it a gooey mess when scoping it out - I needed the filter to run full stop for a week before I am prepared to get in again Re: Asha's HGWA build - Pool plan 759Sep 20, 2014 8:17 pm Ewwww that is making my skin crawl. Im hoping that since the pool will be brick walled in on three sides and bifolds (maybe) on the alfresco side they wont get in. The last home I lived in didn't have a pool and when i went to sell it the agents were not happy, even telling me to put one in to sell the place.
