Hi All,
I am planning to build a 45sq house and I am not sure how much it costs for render of entire house. Does anyone have any idea?
Is it better to have a render or leave it as brick?
Thank you.

Re: render cost 9Nov 05, 2008 11:57 am Bam Excuse my ignorance, but there are alot of newish houses that i see where the render has something like water stains, marks and cracks on areas close to the roof... Is this due to it being a particular type of render (bagging/moroka????) or workmanship? Hi Bam..I have noticed this to, particularly with the cheaply built, nasty townhouse developments in my area that are sold for a ridiculous amount of money Straight away you can see water stains, cracks and other nasties appearing in these fast 'knock them up' units. Some you can even see the render coming off the walls. I put it down to cheap materials and quick job by the renderer that probably is only being paid a bare minium to do the job. Other reasons...house is built on moving ground therefore cracks are inevitable. May also be the Moroka product which is also acrylic. After 4 years - we're in! Funny enough, I see it mostly in townhouses too! Hi Alex, Thanks for the reply again. I had a chat with the builder, he said he will use primer, then hydrotec which comes with colour and sealer as well.
