Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Ben Trager - Secret Harbour- ???? - Flooring update 352Mar 24, 2014 9:23 pm Doozer1905 Yea mate, to me they are too shiny to have a duplex coating, but I could be wrong. We've been and had a look and really can't tell. A couple of the lintels above the windows look to be quite dull but not painted. It could be that the Zinc (galvanisation) has passivated over the last few months but, conversely, they may not have been shiny to start with ie painted dull. The ones on the al fresco (the bits we can still see, at least) look shiny but not galvanised at all so maybe they are coated (with a silver coloured 2-pack). Fortunately one of the guys that works for me is a NACE Level 2 tech so he'll have a look when the equipment comes back from Brisbane. The equipment can differentiate between, and measure the thckness of, magnetic, non-magnetic and non-conductive coatings & materials. Anyway, we've finally managed to do an actual update. Nothing done today but at least they made a start last week. After all the delays we've had, we want the roof cover on asap because the last thing we need now are delays due to the weather. Re: Ben Trager - Secret Harbour- Yay! When we originally saw the plans, we thought the portico was going to be quite small but it's turned out to be quite impressive. Glad its all moving along again and coming together for you I think the proposal that a supply and demand curve are a natural law are well exaggerated. Wages never seem to follow this curve, and also prices for supply are sticky… 18 19146 Go to an actual paint store, not bunnings. Dulux even have trade centers. Don't have to be a trade to but their paint. 1 13397 Depends how much direct sun it gets. Is there any shading (eaves or trees)? If the sun hits a window directly it doesn't matter too much if it's double or single… 1 9856 |
