Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Ben Trager - Secret Harbour- Render Colour - Perfect! 301Feb 04, 2014 7:55 pm The renderer returned today and applied the Domino coloured Dulux Hadrian Sand-finish acrylic. The colour is exactly what we wanted and the quality looks fantastic, he's done a great job. Furthermore the Hadrian texture looks far better than the Coventry Coarse, wish we could have the whole house in it, we're so happy with the colour and the finish. LOL In saying that, we just went over to our place today and saw the walls getting painted, we just stood there in shock for a second as we realised we had chosen(maybe) the wrong colour. So now we are in damage control to get it sorted without paying too much. It's not a very common colour so there weren't any examples for us to look at. Incredibly happy it worked out well. The proof of the pudding will be when the lower storey is done (Domino and Lexicon with Colorbond Shale Grey garage and hardiplank) but we're feeling much more confident now and it's a very good match for the monument roof SslayerR LOL In saying that, we just went over to our place today and saw the walls getting painted, we just stood there in shock for a second as we realised we had chosen(maybe) the wrong colour. You had doubts over the roof colour but that look great. Re: Ben Trager - Secret Harbour- Render Colour - Perfect! 311Feb 06, 2014 1:15 am Looking great! Good to see that they sorted the colour for you. Re: Ben Trager - Secret Harbour- Render Colour - Perfect! 313Feb 11, 2014 3:43 am Love the colour upstairs. I don't think i'v ever seen that colour before, it looks really good! Once all the scaffolding is down the full effect will be even better! Loving the balcony, wish we'd had the funds for one. My Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=62841 Re: Ben Trager - Secret Harbour- ???? - Flooring update 315Feb 28, 2014 9:49 pm We've no idea what's going on with our build so thought we'd show a couple of pictures of the floor tiles we've bought. White, polished porcelain tiles from tile clearance warehouse. http://tcwarehouse.com.au/wa/ It's a no-frills place but they've got some real bargains and they're definitely worth a look. One tile on the floor in the rental against a white gloss door and bamboo laminate. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ With the external colours. The tile's called Pure White but it's not as stark as lexicon so it shouldn't look like a an operating theatre. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Disappointed that nothing has happened for 4 weeks since the render was (nearly) finished (which was delayed 2 weeks waiting for the right colour). There's a BT build near the rental which started over 2 months after ours and is now only a couple of weeks behind us. We understand builds have hold-ups but it would be nice to be told what's happening unfortunately the communication has been bad recently (3 build update e-mails since start of December). We were told at the beginning of December that we were 6-8 weeks from lock-up and a further 6-8 weeks from PCI. Meanwhile 11 weeks later and only about 7-8 days work carried out, we've no idea. emacleo0 Hi OWF! House is looking fab. Thanks. Unfortunately it's not looking so fab now because a big piece of the sarking has been ripped off by the wind and a fair bit of it is flapping loose where the wind has pulled the nails through it leaving it looking like a tramps vest. Re: Ben Trager - Secret Harbour- ???? - Flooring update 316Feb 28, 2014 9:58 pm Bugger that's not good news OWF fingers crossed you hear something and get some action soon <!-- l --><a class="postlink-local" href="https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=62083">viewtopic.php?t=62083</a><!-- l --> Re: Ben Trager - Secret Harbour- ???? - Flooring update 317Feb 28, 2014 10:06 pm Cheers AKB, it's not the delay so much as not knowing what's going on that's annoying. Re: Ben Trager - Secret Harbour- ???? - Flooring update 318Feb 28, 2014 10:22 pm Yep I hear you......even OB it's frustrating when you don't have communication <!-- l --><a class="postlink-local" href="https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=62083">viewtopic.php?t=62083</a><!-- l --> Re: Ben Trager - Secret Harbour- ???? - Flooring update 319Feb 28, 2014 11:57 pm Agreed owf it's the lack of communication that is the most frustrating! Fingers crossed you get an update and some movement soon. Meanwhile think I will check out that tile warehouse to see what savings they offer! Love your colour combo Re: Ben Trager - Secret Harbour- ???? - Flooring update 320Mar 01, 2014 12:23 am Cheers dee. Speak to Benny (with the funniest accent ever). Really nice guy. They don't deliver but the prices they sell for are so cheap it makes up for it. They have some great mosaic and solid stone tiles there too. We originally were looking for Lucky Star (quite light coloured but with a blue-ish fleck) They were $10 sqm cheaper than we'd seen them anywhere else. When we saw the Pure White polished it was perfect for us. And $20 sqm!!!!!!!!!!! I think the proposal that a supply and demand curve are a natural law are well exaggerated. Wages never seem to follow this curve, and also prices for supply are sticky… 18 19124 Go to an actual paint store, not bunnings. Dulux even have trade centers. Don't have to be a trade to but their paint. 1 13381 Depends how much direct sun it gets. Is there any shading (eaves or trees)?
