The eaves, fascias and gutters are finished now. The tradesmen have been there today attaching the EPS structural panels to the framework. Next step is render and colorbond. It's exciting seeing "our" part of the house take shape. Some cladding Lots of cladding A close-up of the cladding on the balcony T'other side of the balcony Looking up (from the living area) towards the WIR Pretty gutter and fascia Re: Ben Trager - Secret Harbour- Upper Storey Cladding & Gut 273Dec 18, 2013 12:23 am Looking good. Glad to hear everything progressing well after your dramas. My Thread (Halls Head Beach House): viewtopic.php?f=31&t=67006 Re: Ben Trager - Secret Harbour- Upper Storey Cladding & Gut 274Dec 18, 2013 12:31 am Thanks. The rendered EPS cladding was one of the things that attracted us to BT. It's really underused here. In Europe it's becoming very popular. Can't wait to see the render go on. I think they were hoping to get it on before xmas but I'm not sure there's enough time. How's yours progressing? Re: Ben Trager - Secret Harbour- Upper Storey Cladding & Gut 275Dec 18, 2013 10:52 am We are about a week behind you... Still! Polystyrene all delivered and timber frames up. No eaves or gutters yet though. At least the kids now know where their rooms are and the exterior has taken shape. The EPS system I didn't know a lot about, but I'm glad their are some builders trying different things in Perth. Our lots are getting smaller (and rightfully so) but to build single storey houses with no opportunities for greenery will make for very hot spaces so having opportunities for more of the market to build two storey is great. Still can't believe we're doing it. My Thread (Halls Head Beach House): viewtopic.php?f=31&t=67006 Re: Ben Trager - Secret Harbour- Upper Storey Cladding & Gut 276Dec 18, 2013 10:21 pm Nice, it is looking more like a house now Re: Ben Trager - Secret Harbour- Upper Storey Cladding & Gut 277Dec 18, 2013 10:41 pm Cheers bradster. It looks far more substantial with the cladding in place. It's almost finished now and they've put up safety rails around the roof so guessing the colorbond can't be too far away. Re: Ben Trager - Secret Harbour- Upper Storey Cladding & Gut 278Dec 19, 2013 12:34 am There is something good about watching it things gradually being built - although seeing them crane it on at ours was certainly an interesting day Feeling better about how the top floor is coming together now? Also, could I ask a favour? Whenever I come to your thread I keep hunting around to find your plans to get a picture of it and end up scrolling through posts. Do you think you could edit your first post with a quick link so lazy people like me can find it easier? We're feeling much better with things now. There are still things to address but, now we've discussed them, we know they are being looked at. On our first post there is a list of links to pictures of the whole build. It's cunningly disguised as a list of dates and descriptions. Click on the links and, as if by magic, you'll be transported to the very thing you seek. Good job - thanks Demo + Build in Rivervale, Western Australia Moved in June 2014 http://rivervale.tumblr.com/ Building Thread I think the proposal that a supply and demand curve are a natural law are well exaggerated. Wages never seem to follow this curve, and also prices for supply are sticky… 18 19146 Go to an actual paint store, not bunnings. Dulux even have trade centers.
