Just 2 days of Bricking 170Oct 01, 2013 10:55 pm slayer, cheers. You've got window frames so hope fully they'll make a start soon. Are your soakwells in? They were there last week now they're not so I'm guessing they're done. janice, beware Hollywood Lighting! We could easily have spent $10,000. There are some amazing lights there but you need to be disciplined. Update: Brickies were back on site today and they've started putting the garage walls up. And they've put in the ridiculously large front entry door frame. Oh I'll be fine, I only need one pendant... other half will remind me of that for sure. brickwork looks great and love huge entry door, also very practical when moving furniture and fridge, so it's a must have hehe Re: Ben Trager - Secret Harbour. More Bricking & Huge Door F 175Oct 02, 2013 10:30 pm janice, I am the other half and I got sucked in by the displays Our brickies have made even more progress today the internal garage wall is at full height now so the ridiculous doorframe doesn't look quite so ridiculous now. We were a little worried that it was going to be too big but we think it will look great when it's done. So long as we don't go and paint it an eye-catching colour..... D'OH! It's good to see your has finally started. The race is on! Re: Ben Trager - Secret Harbour. More Bricking & Huge Door F 176Oct 03, 2013 12:09 am oooohhh then that's dangerous!! hahaha!! are you still going for the bright blue? Re: Ben Trager - Secret Harbour. More Bricking & Huge Door F 177Oct 03, 2013 12:13 am Yes. Dulux Wing Commander which is the same as Solver Mykonos. Still not entirely sure about it but it can't look any worse than the rose-pink one just along the road from us. If it looks bad then we'll probably go for a grey to match the shale grey garage door and feature hardiplank. Re: Ben Trager - Secret Harbour. More Bricking & Huge Door F 178Oct 03, 2013 12:23 am I like that colour, would make a great feature wall too. even if it turns out not-so-great it's not catastrophic. Re: Ben Trager - Secret Harbour. More Bricking & Huge Door F 179Oct 03, 2013 1:52 pm Looking good! Perfect weather at the moment for the brickies to power along too! Loving the front door, one of the best decisions we made with our place. My Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=62841 Re: Ben Trager - Secret Harbour. More Bricking & Huge Door F 180Oct 03, 2013 6:10 pm Dam, this building race has me coming in last by a long way. Is that a 1200mm door? All looking good though. Hope your build goes well Builder - Aveling Homes Type - Luxury collection 4x3 Design - Chicago My build viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64958&p=1024362#p1024362 I think the proposal that a supply and demand curve are a natural law are well exaggerated. Wages never seem to follow this curve, and also prices for supply are sticky… 18 19101 Go to an actual paint store, not bunnings. Dulux even have trade centers. Don't have to be a trade to but their paint. 1 13370 Depends how much direct sun it gets. Is there any shading (eaves or trees)? If the sun hits a window directly it doesn't matter too much if it's double or single… 1 9848 |
