Which location and design you building ? We are very close to sign contract with Boutique in Williams Landing. Thanks Sam Re: Boutique Homes 6Aug 05, 2013 2:15 pm Hi Sam, We just signed a PWC with Boutique last week. So far we've found them to be really accommodating and helpful. We had one small hiccup - back in May we decided we wanted to go with the Knightsbridge 26 but had to wait for our current house to sell before we could move on anything. While we were waiting we worked closely with our sales rep (who has been wonderful) to get quotes for non-standard things that we wanted included, like hydronic heating and low-VOC paint. The last week of June we received a phone call from a different sales rep telling us we had to sign the PWC by the end of that week because they were phasing out the Knightsbridge. We were SO not ready to do that so I called my regular sales rep who apologised profusely and told me that if we still wanted the Knightsbridge we could have more time to finalise the PWC. So, thanks to our original sales rep, we got quotes for non-standard things and we finalised the PWC last week. Hurrah! We've made quite a few changes to our floor plan and, like I mentioned, we wanted some non-standard things added (and standard things removed) and Boutique have been quite accommodating (as possible as it is for a project builder). What design have you decided to go with? It would be good to hear from others building with Boutique. Re: Boutique Homes 7Aug 05, 2013 4:12 pm Hi ! Genghis77 We are looking to build Barcelona 28. As i am first home buyer i dont know about those non-standard changes you doing..lol. Where are you guys building ? Can you mention initials of the helpful Saled person you dealing with and which display location he works at? BTW, i have started new thread to see if anyone else is building Boutique homes.. Re: Boutique Homes 8Aug 05, 2013 4:47 pm Hi guys. We are building the Verve 41 - slightly modified. We're in the last stage of the build and can't wait to start our new lives in our new home. Good luck with everything y'all:-) p.s. any q's - just PM us:-) Re: Boutique Homes 9Aug 06, 2013 8:17 am Hi Teamlg, Do you remember how long it took Boutique to get from PWC stage to HIA contract stage on your build? And when does pre-start happen? Spatel, our sales rep's initials are MB. I think she's working out of Cranbourne but we initially met her via email/telephone because I submitted a query on their website. We contacted Boutique in Apr/May 2012. PWC signed 2/6/12. HIA signed 29/8/12. Works commenced 25/10/12. Pre-start, not sure anyone else? Re: Boutique Homes 11Aug 06, 2013 1:32 pm Yikes, that's quite a long time between PWC and HIA signing. We've made an offer on our land subject to finance of 60 days. Boutique will push our job through as urgent, plus they've already done site tests on the block, so hopefully that speeds things up a bit! Thanks for the info. If I have any more questions I'll be sure to PM you! Re: Boutique Homes 12Aug 14, 2013 10:34 am Hey All, We are also building with Boutique. Signed our PWC 29/06/13 and waiting on final compaction report for our land to firm up site costs. We have chosen the Barcelona 28 and we are hoping to be in by June-July next year. Plan is to have a Grand Final Party and with the size block we have chosen, there is a LOT of landscaping which will need to be done!!! Really can't wait, I love the display home so much and not just because of the decor but the space just feels so right. It will certainly be a change to our current little 12 square home If anyone is building with Boutique and is doing a blog I would love to get the link. Loving hearing about everyone elses experiences and their journey. Re: Boutique Homes 13Aug 14, 2013 12:47 pm Hi Pippa1987! It's nice to see someone else on here building with Boutique, there doesn't seem to be many of us around. We've gone with the Knightsbridge 26 which is no longer available. We took a while to sign the PWC because we wanted to get accurate quotes for some things as well as fixed site costs and our sales rep was fantastic in giving us extra time even though the Knightsbridge was being phased out. And like you, we loved the house because of the display home - it could've been the decor and colour schemes etc, but the layout just felt right to us. I've just started a blog (only 2 posts on there so far!) - I'll PM you the link as I'm not sure if I want to make it public just yet. Re: Boutique Homes 15Aug 15, 2013 7:57 am Hi Wazza, Yes, we're getting our finance through Resolve. I've found them to be pretty helpful, but then when we bought our first house a few years ago our mortgage broker back then was pretty useless so I don't have much to compare them to! However, we're in a slightly complicated situation in that I'm currently pregnant. Resolve worked really hard to get finance pre-approval from a lender who would actually consider our situation and they kept me constantly updated about things. I'm glad we went with them because they work so closely with Boutique - because of our shortish subject-to-finance clause on our land contract we need to put some pressure on Boutique to get our contract moving and I'm hoping Resolve will help put that pressure on too! Are you currently building with Boutique? Or thinking about it? Re: Boutique Homes 17Aug 29, 2013 9:55 pm Got the conditional approval which is good. I think boutique have been great. They have even got the house plans through the developers approval. So pretty much ready to start building once finance is completed now. Building the Barcelona 28 did want the 31 but desided to go with the 28 so we could still afford the extras we want Re: Boutique Homes 18Aug 30, 2013 9:58 am Good to hear about the conditional approval, Wazza. We've got our contract signing and pre-start meeting booked for Monday. Hoping to see the contract before then, but considering it's already Friday I don't like our chances! I agree though, so far Boutique have been pretty great. They fast-tracked our contract/pre-start stuff because of our subject to finance clause (and impending birth of our second bub!). Re: Boutique Homes 19Aug 30, 2013 2:25 pm Good to hear it is moving along Wazza. We have been stalking around Armstrong Creek lately trying to track down anyone who is building with Boutique to see how quickly they are going up. There is one down from the Porter Davis displays which seems to being going up reasonably quickly! Hopefully you will be starting before long Re: Boutique Homes 20Sep 01, 2013 3:38 pm Hi All, We are also considering going with Boutique homes.A quick question for those who have already signed their contracts it there a huge difference in your final quotes between what was mentioned in the PWC and the actual contract. For eg. if the price mentioned in the PWC is around 225k including approx site costs does this figure differ by a big amount in the contract. 10 16346 I would never build with Fowler homes. I built with them in 2021 and till date maintenance issues are pending. All their existing trades and businesses don't work with… 14 109627 |
