In our old apartment, we had the below, I would like to get as close too: Brand: Bella Luce Model: BDL332 Input: 220-240V 350mA 7W 2700K In our bright, open plan apartment the 2700K looked great. Would it still look ok in a darker apartment or would we be best changing the K? We're looking at painting the walls in a Natural White. If you just want ordinary lights, take one of the downlights (gimbal and bulb) to a lighting store of choice and they will recommend a replacement. Most are made in China these days, so are similar. We're looking at painting the walls in a Natural White. Warm white is best in a domestic situation. 2700K to 3000K will work. Higher can be a bit harsh/industrial, and probably reserved for work areas like kitchens and laundries. Re: Good brand of downlights 4Jul 30, 2019 5:11 pm IamSAM Brand SAL https://www.sal.net.au Thanks, I have seen SAL and ATOM, are they both the same? I was reading SAL did have some recalls? Has anyone heard of Bella Luce? Re: Good brand of downlights 5Jul 30, 2019 6:03 pm Luce Bella is Bunnings private label brand. most cheap downlights offer similar light output and colour change feature 3000k, 4000k & 5000k etc. I suggest set 4000k cool white for kitchen & living areas and 3000k warm white for bedrooms etc. Things to consider are glare - some flat faced ones are awful glare wise as they are not recessed. Also consider ability to dim smoothly, colour matching when 6 in the ceiling. Atom and SAL brands are reasonable quality.
Re: Good brand of downlights 6Jul 30, 2019 6:10 pm It's a little confusing but Bella Luce is not a Bunnings brand: http://bellalucelighting.com.au/ The Bunnings version is: https://www.bunnings.com.au/our-range/brands/l/luce-bella Re: Good brand of downlights 7Jul 30, 2019 6:13 pm TomS It's a little confusing but Bella Luce is not a Bunnings brand: http://bellalucelighting.com.au/ The Bunnings version is: https://www.bunnings.com.au/our-range/brands/l/luce-bella Yes, you are correct Re: Good brand of downlights 8Jul 31, 2019 8:41 am TomS IamSAM Brand SAL https://www.sal.net.au Thanks, I have seen SAL and ATOM, are they both the same? Conforms to required AU standards. Re: Good brand of downlights 11Jul 20, 2021 9:39 pm Luna downlights from Emerald are great. Do check government rebates on lighting before replacing halogen downlights with LEDs. Thank you. That is really helpful. Once we get the place done and passed for OC we can upgrade in the future once we get back on our feet and not paying mortgage and rent. 4 6152 No worries mate. I am currently looking into replacing the windows entirely for 2x or 3x glazing as well as new front doors. I sadly have no other choice due the window… 2 3827 9 25374 |
