In the ensuite of my new place (apartment built in 1979), there is currently one light switch (outside the ensuite, in the bedroom. The vanity in the ensuite is on this wall on the other side of the light switch) that controls the ceiling light and hideous fluro tube over the vanity mirror.
I want to remove that tube, put a new ceiling light in, and then put in 2 lovely wall sconces on either side of the vanity. Can those new wall sconces use that same light switch? Can they somehow use the same wire path as the old tube? Or must there be a new light switch panel installed? Or just a new switch put onto the existing switch plate thingo in the bedroom?
Also, I've read about some sconces that don't even need to be wired and you pull the chain, and they work...somehow. lol. But how!?
