Browse Forums Lighting + Lighting Design 1 Feb 02, 2015 9:52 pm Hello lighting gurus. I am planning to have in slab/floor mounted up lights in our entry, facing an feature stone wall. The builder can pre-conduit it but I am struggling to find any actual lights to use. How does the heat from the light disperse and does anyone have any models I could look at using? Also how do up/down wall mounted lights get mounted in feature stone that is uneven? Any help appreciated Re: In slab/floor mounted up lights. 2Feb 08, 2015 4:01 pm If you're using LED (what I recommend you do) heat isn't really an issue. It comes down to budget. There is a light fitting to do just about any job you want it to - but they come at a price. If you're putting them in an entry floor and want to highlight a feature wall, then the number one thing you want to avoid is glare - that will be extremely annoying. Also, it needs to be waterproof. Not weatherproof, not water resistant. Waterproof! This means IP67 or IP68. If you can give me an idea of what you want to spent per light fitting I can recommend some. Lights mounted in uneven stone will be uneven. There's not much you can do about it. The best thing is probably just to grout around the light once it's installed.
