Browse Forums Lighting + Lighting Design 1 Aug 11, 2010 12:53 pm Hi all. At that stage of the reno where we need to choose light fittings. Can anybody recommend a few places in Melbourne? We want something middle of the road, i.e. not Beacon Lighting, or anywhere with thousand dollar imported european stuff. Tried Studio Italia (too expensive) and are checking out Ambience Lighting in Fairfield and Euroluce in the City. We're particular after Pendant lights for kitchen/dining area and stylish bathroom lighting, i.e. wall spots and vanity lighting. Thanks ! Re: Lighting Stores in Melbourne - recommendations? 2Aug 11, 2010 11:05 pm You right! I do see such places in my travels but when not needed they really fade quickly from my memory bank he!he! Check out the the city councils business directories not everyone has one but they do Moonee Ponds for instance is a good one of community announcements also look in ********* , Infolink, * to name a few Re: Lighting Stores in Melbourne - recommendations? 3Aug 12, 2010 12:08 am I like these guys http://www.spacefurniture.com.au/ Went to this showroom the other day... http://www.mattblatt.com.au/Lighting.aspx?s83 I've found a few I like from here http://www.buyster.com.au/Lighting-C146925.html and there is another place that I subscribe to but I can't for the life of me remember what it is and I can't find an email from them Hope they can be of some help Sleven Moved into our Atlantique MkII 36 by Carlisle Homes Re: Lighting Stores in Melbourne - recommendations? 4Aug 12, 2010 9:15 am I recommend United Global Enterprises in Abbotsford. They are importers, but do sell direct to the public and have a showroom. http://www.unitedglobal.com.au/ (<- not exactly the best website in the world) Re: Lighting Stores in Melbourne - recommendations? 5Sep 11, 2010 9:54 pm sleven Went to this showroom the other day... http://www.mattblatt.com.au/Lighting.aspx?s83 We've just purchased a chandelier from Matt Blatt - our one and only 'feature light'. Their Richmond store is only a showroom, as their website makes clear - our light was couriered from Sydney at an additional cost. There is an online calculator within their site to help you determine postage for delivery. Our light arrived within two days, in what appears to be perfect condition (we haven't fully unwrapped it yet).
