Re: building at seaford meadows 27Jun 30, 2016 6:35 am I'll just say one thing about the kitchen... IMHO go for drawers, even at the expense of something else - I find the pot drawers are so superior, and if you are the one that cooks, it can save you so much incidental stress on a day to day basis - I'm not kidding. There's nothing worse than wasting time and energy trying to find stuff in the back of a 60cm cupboard, and cupboards waste so much storage space towards the top of the cupboard. Those things are important as we age, and as this is the 'last' house for us, I insisted on having the drawers right from the beginning. I don't want to struggle with cupboards at 95! I gave up a sexy laundry to get the kitchen drawers. I will be putting in the el-cheapo $800 kitchen cupboard/bench set from bunnings into my laundry, so I can get all drawers in the kitchen. Re: building at seaford meadows 28Jul 13, 2016 8:18 pm i really want kitchen drawers too so much easier council planning approval received today so moving along and possible might be ready to start in august maybe? had a visit to beaumonts looking at tiles eek so hard to choose cant wait for the selections visit in the next 2 weeks Re: building at seaford meadows 29Jul 13, 2016 8:24 pm So exciting for you... it's really happening now! Re: building at seaford meadows 39Aug 04, 2016 9:32 pm Sounds great, well done you for not going crazy with the spending!! Our biggest spend was the stone bench tops with waterfall ends, if we hadn't chosen that, I think our figure would have been closer the the $3k mark.
