If so that's pretty good from what I've seen on here. We only had a slab 7 weeks in but ours is in a league of its own sloth like pace. I agree with MGardz looks like they are waiting for termite protection. You'll see a strip of plastic type material which will sit on top of that row of bricks when it's done. Hope for no rain this week and it may hopefully get done. Fingers crossed for you. No 7 weeks after excavation day. They started frames 2 weeks after concrete poured. Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 12055Aug 27, 2016 10:52 pm Sandra I'm sorry to hear of your frustrations...... Most on here totally understand and some of us are still going through this. Nothing I could say would make you feel any better unfortunately. But I do get it and I do feel for anyone in that situation. Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 12056Aug 28, 2016 9:21 am sandra 2016 MGardz Sandra They are probably waiting for the termite people to complete their part before they come back and rain probably hasn't helped Hopefully you get some action this week. Your brick colour is really nice though just check for chips as they can be sensitive https://mandgbuildatmulgoarise.wordpress.com/ Termite protection was already completed. If we had updates from our SS we would know what's happening but if i wanna know anything I have to drive past myself or text him. Brickies were due to start last Monday week then they didn't show till the end of the week. Then they were called off our job and was supposed to come back Thursday but then of course it rained. Who wants to build a house when it takes this long. Oct 2015 with a registered block and still where we are only at today. lol nothing has changed then. Shire Synergy's SS needs to teach a few of them how to do it...M is frustrating that's for sure. It wouldn't be too bad if we got communication and updates https://mandgbuildatmulgoarise.wordpress.com/ Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 12057Aug 29, 2016 10:01 am J+H Sandra I'm sorry to hear of your frustrations...... Pretty bad hey. We only got to lock up, roof finish and brick finish 3weeks ago! I don't know anyone who has taken this long to build. Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 12060Aug 29, 2016 10:28 am WKVillina S-VE Anyone who is doing 2 story, have you insulated the roof cavity between top and bottom ? SVE this has been a topic for us recently, during the build we spoke to our SS regarding our creaking floors he believed putting extra screws into the floor would stop it, unfortunately for us that's not the case and you can hear the creak downstairs as well as up so I wander if we had put insulation in would it not be heard downstairs. We also had the thickest underlay with our carpet and it does not stop the sound. I wish we had gone with insulation between floors although am not 100% sure it would stop the noise. I also wish I didn't listen to our SS who claimed he would fix it and added the creaking floors to our PCI list, as I doubt m would attempt to fix it now. We are now 6 weeks in our home and are still waiting on M to finish the things that were meant to be done after PCI, we sent them the list yesterday and are waiting on a response, we could not afford to wait any longer for M to finish things that should have been done months ago but my advice to anyone thinking of building with them is NEVER sign PCI unless your home is ready to live in with minor things to complete because once you sign PCI you are at their mercy... 2014 30/05 $3900 25/08 Contracts 02/10 DA submitted 2015 17/02 DA approved 02/04 Colors 10/04 Demo 09/07 Construction start 27/07 Fill 15/08 Slab 21/09 Frame 2016 08/01 Bricks 4 16735 i imagine you also have another contract with an architect? and yeah, whatever other's said about special conditions and appendices 16 16007 Hi all I am looking to run a water line under my concrete footpath which is directly next to my home, was seeing if this is possible without cutting the entire section… 0 20180 |
