Browse Forums Flooring & Floor Covering 1 Mar 16, 2019 8:11 pm Hi, New to this forum. Just wandering if anyone can give me advice on cracked/splitting turpentine floorboards. They are installed on batons which are on a concrete slab. Had them installed and about a week later heard loud popping sounds and discovered floorboards are cracked throughout the floor. Installers are blaming sun, lack of blinds and now saying it’s the timber. Surely they should replace damaged boards? They are offering $1000 back and another coat of seal. Didn’t put new hardwood floors in to have them crack a week later. Have attached a photo of one of the many cracks.
