Browse Forums Flooring & Floor Covering 1 Sep 05, 2006 10:10 pm Anyone know of a paint that I can use for some indoor ceramic floor tiles? They're big and brown and kind of ugly and I want to give them a new lease of life. Something hard wearing obviously, but not too expensive.
I've seen the industrial floor covering stuff like this: http://www.armour-shield.com.au/pages/s ... _var=floor But I don't know if I can get that sort of stuff just for a room or two in a house, in something other than industrial grey. There is no foolproof way of painting floor tiles; the coating is always going to come off. However, the best way is to; lighltly sand them, to remove the sheen of the tile, then give it a coat of Zinsser BIN. Once that has dried, use any good quality paving paint on top, like Berger JetDry. Depending upon how much foot traffic, and how good preparation is, you could get up to two years of life.
