We have two dogs who run around like nut bags on this floor and 3 years on it still looks stunning. The immaculate floors are what sold the house to our new buyers. Yeah I always thought oil based was the way to go and is more tougher than waterbased...was suprised to hear otherwise. When we first did our timber floors we were talked into using water based, 4 years down the track it was worn out, we then had the floors stripped and redone wth oil based, 5 years later it still looked as good as the day it was done.
