Browse Forums Flooring & Floor Covering 1 Sep 13, 2010 10:21 pm We are after a level cut and loop pile SDN carpet with a square pattern interspersed in the carpet. Don't want to spend a lot of money - will be happy to replace the carpet in 8-10 years. The 2 that we like are the Georgian by Allied Floor Coverings and the Redbook Applique. They are both about the same price. Which is better? They will be used in bedrooms and stairs only. The house is occupied by 2 little ones (3 and 1 yo). Are there cheaper alternatives? Re: Choice of SDN level cut and loop pile carpet? 2Sep 14, 2010 8:31 pm You should look at a Smartstrand LCL instead. HEAPS better with staining, far bigger colour pallette too. Smartstrand from Mohawk (USA) kills SDN in every single way and is generally no more expensive. Smartstrand IQ150. Google it. Or search this forum for info on it. I had a look and it is a bit more expensive than the others, even with the cheapest underlay that HN sells. I did have a look on the weekend and love the choice of colours but really think it is out of my price range. Unless you know someone who can give me a good deal. I am in Sydney. Sure, if you call Tom Connolly (the Franchisee) at HN Liverpool, he will do a carpet installation in any metro suburb of Sydney and I have spoken to him to let him know youll be in touch and to give you a ripper price. I am confident that he can get the price into a compairable scenario for you, so you can take advantage of the benefits of Smartstrand. Tom's number is 02 9600 3310. As I said, it doesn't matter if you are in the Hills, or Northshore, or in the Shire - he and his guys travel to all suburbs. He'll look after you. Make sure you mention me so he knows what to do, as he only knows that SYD-YYZ will be in contact! Re: Choice of SDN level cut and loop pile carpet? 6Sep 17, 2010 8:24 am No. That pattern is a bit dated now. It comes in white nylons and SDN'S only (locally made). they can, it's a fairly standard solution when the slab isn't recessed. the falls need to be in the main floor, if it hasn't been done then you need to ask them to redo… 4 6580 2 5485 PM me your email. I have a build excavation calculator you can use based on your plans to double check what your builder is telling you. Cheers Simeon 1 10210 |
